  1. He is a businessman at the end of day. Definitely more loyal than Avtar Sandhu who ultimately killed off the club he said he wanted to save. It’s like politicians, they will tell you what you want to hear to get your support and then do whatever they want! Good luck to Poole in the CL and don’t forget to take SS, LC,SM and S1 with you!
  2. Poole now a feeder club for the top division and Sheffield in particular.
  3. Why would it result in huge increase in costs? Remember that Swindon was built to a 42.5 point limit and they outperformed that - so you can build attractive teams as long as you don't go mad in wage demands.
  4. No team can afford to over stretch themselves but why restrict how a team can be built? We have one team going down and one coming up - no need to “spread” the riders around. Anyway - we will continue to have averages and the important thing is to get it right to encourage people to attend not to drive them away
  5. Top 5riders of the season, that would be: 1. Doyle (obviously) 2. Ellis (great season for him and more to come) 3. Rasser (obviously) 4. Musielak (great performer) 5. Batch (best season for several years) Its clear to see why Swindon won the league!
  6. What wouldn’t be fair? All teams built to the same team average. Some teams had improvers and some teams didn’t and the reward for improvement? Need to find another team! its stupid to build to the weakest team - as it always has been when Ipswich and Eastbourne were the worst culprits. Why have a points limit at all?
  7. So who will Swindon ride against in the Premier Shield at the start of next season? Probably need to be Wolves or Ipswich?
  8. Anyone but Ricky Wells Pickering would be a good shout
  9. He is not the Messiah - he’s a very naughty boy
  10. And will probably want Morris back on his lowly average
  11. Surely with the right level of promotion, crowds at Poole should be one of the highest in the country? I appreciate that there were financial losses mainly due to the loss of their title sponsor but surely with the new TV deal and the success Poole have become accustomed to, there isn’t a need to drop a league. Around the country, it can be shown that crowd levels increase with success on track - so given that Skidder says there isn’t much room in the trophy cabinet for more trophies, it just doesn’t stack up that crowd levels have decreased by about 20%. Unless this is another example of people falling out of love with speedway and finding other More stimulating and value for money interests to spend their leisure funds. If Poole are having that problem then British Speedway is closer to extinction than I thought - and dropping a league won’t solve that.
  12. Enjoy the CL next season. I would like to say that you and your fellow trolls will be missed but I’m pretty sure you won’t be
  13. Commiserations to Ipswich - they did better than anyone predicted at the start of the season - not the cannon fodder I predicted. Congratulations Swindon Robins 2019 Premiership Speedway champions
  14. Good luck tonight to both teams for an exciting and interesting match. I am expecting the Robins to “bring it home” tonight though #COYR
  15. Poole stadium to Somerset stadium is 84.3 miles on google maps using their respective postcodes
  16. I think I will believe Google maps over you. Door to door - Swindon is 77.3m and Poole is 84.3m. QED
  17. I think you’ll find Swindon is closer to Somerset than Poole - so they will have a local derby!
  18. I meant to say that the ref did a great job last night - he got every decision right
