  1. The only reason? Nothing to do with the 2 year contract they agreed before the end of season?!?!?!?!
  2. Why is it manipulation of the rules? Saddling someone with a 13+ average is just plain stupid and no one could ever achieve that since 12 is a 4 ride max! I think it is fair to say that Swindon won't finish with their starting 7 and I have no problem with that because the riders they will have will be a strong force!
  3. Some details at http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/14883306.Rossiter_backs____inexperienced____Ellis_to_shine/ Well done Rosco - a great start to team building. We know we will be weak lower down the team and I would give Morris a team spot this year - especially as it has been watered down. I don't mind a long tail as long as the team is entertaining and we have that in buckets with Doyle and Ellis.
  4. The problem with the English language is it can be ambiguous and people will read things how they want. I think it was an innocent tweet and don't believe he was having a go at Poole - why would he?
  5. But they can stop a team riding in the UK because they hold the cards for all speedway in the UK.
  6. I haven't seen Lindback in any team permutations - and he is such a great rider too!
  7. Someone on a windup! Now who could that be?
  8. Maths not your strong point? His EL average was multiplied by 1.4 giving him a 12+ average - so he was in the top 3 in the EL - so hardly average! I think Swindon will be looking for 5-6 point riders given that Doyle takes up 13.5 points!
  9. Well he didn't have a crystal ball and thought that being an EDR (on lower points money) was worth a go to show his talent - which he did in abundance. His reward (like many Poole riders after their first season) - there's the door and we are replacing you with a Johnny Foreigner!
  10. Yes - pretty average! That's why he has a 12+ average for team building this season.
  11. I agree and when they have a proper average strengthen up - nothing to lose and could do a Coventry and storm up the league when changes are made. I think as a minimum we should stick with Doyle.
  12. Jack will race for whoever he wants whether Poole "let him or not" as you well know.
  13. Mainly Poole assets in the 1-5? - just two by my reckoning as Andersen, Batch and Ellis aren't Poole assets
  14. Did you not notice it was way better than any other team that has been proposed?
  15. Dropping the FTR system and then giving them an average to put them in the 1-5 and replace with two lower averaged riders - no one is fooled
  16. With Jim Lynch at Coventry, Schlein may be tempted to go back there
  17. I would expect Klindt to go back to Leicester next season as he had a good season there.
  18. Cutting costs is a given and the promoters have delivered on that front again. However, there are alternatives - put the fans first and give them value for money. Give them a team that is exciting and successful, promote it, cost the admission prices appropriately and look to give them a good night out that doesn't mean presentation from the 70s, 15 heats and nothing else. Give good value for money and fans will come out and also it will attract new fans. Additionally sort out the rules and be transparent so there are not the annual dodgy moves from the south coast - put the credibility back and make it incredible and then the sport can move forward.
