  1. This isn't a pop at Newman (who was excellent over the two legs) but how come he was a reserve for most of the year and then puts in a performance like that over the 2 legs of the playoffs. He did the same last year too. Maybe they should call him Playoff Newman because he certainly shone last night at Monmore.
  2. Surely you are not suggesting that either of Newman and Ellis should be at reserve next year? Both are more than capable of holding their own in the 1-5 (as demonstrated last night) so I wouldn't expect either to be a reserve next year.
  3. Wolves will need to build up a decent lead to take to BV and as we saw last night 12 wasn't enough for Poole. Wolves will win their home leg and BV will win theirs - it will be close on aggregate but I think BV will do it as their reserves are stronger.
  4. Whoever wins this - it has been a great speedway meeting. Poole a 3 man team though and could cost them in the last heat (as reserves have run out of heats).
  5. Great ride from Masters pushing Holder out - still anyone's meeting!
  6. Good heat for Poole - how has Newman been at reserve for most of the season?
  7. Try re-reading the post - I said he has been good enough to hold his own in the 1-5 for most of the year but you just concentrated on the first part which was nothing to do with him. If you are this touchy about your family then I suggest you don't come on here calling people names! Yawn - same old, same old!
  8. BV should get some good practice in for the final - hope everyone finishes safely with no injuries.
  9. Good luck to the wolves tonight. It is a massive task to overturn a team as good as Poole and their lead from the first leg but it is doable with the right determination.
