They need to get title sponsors, the teams need to race for prize money. This is never going to happen until all the mickey mouse rules are done away with

Probably cos they had some spare viewing hours and were after a fill in sport they could get on the cheap. And they do tend to show more of the minority sports than the other sports channels.

If we had teams full of the worlds best,, would the crowd go up or sponsors come in to address the extra expense?

Can you give us a clue on what average roughly? Then we can start guessing.

And the riders that have beaten him are way lower on the pecking order, supposedly. I don't have a problem with him being in the Ipswich line up,,, but on a more realistic average of 6. I don't see the point of having a rider that will clearly drop his average by possibly a quarter. As already said though,,, it may all be about bums on seats. Or maybe he will be somewhere else.
