Hmmmm '76 '77 I could do(ish). Where's Bobby G when you need him. There used to be a Rye House site excellent it was, then it got taken over by someone and all the statistics have now been lost in t'internet land which is really gutty, as Uncle Ted was top of the averages for years and years until along came another Edward and overtook him

Only read the first page of the thread Zetters I want some of what you're on please Oh Scottie you have competition for my cheers in Cardiff, all the years you've been in the GP's have cheered you on regardless but........ I reckon if the crowd get behind Bomber at Cardiff we could be in for a rostrum place from him Only the 2nd GP early days to be calling shots although I dont think he'll be World Champion I reckon he'll put a few spokes in others wheels én routé to the title -
Who Should Ride For The Uk In The Wtc?
shazzybird replied to bazaar3's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Mark will always be a hero of mine no matter what and now I'm looking to Edward Kennett and Lewis Bridger to follow in his speedway boots, let's hope they don't get to big for them to quickly -
Rain In Wroclaw

Back in 1987 BBC Weather predicted mild winds, we then had a Hurricane I'd believe the people that are there texting back home more than I would BBC Weather. -

Obviously I will be right behind TEAM GB, I'm not going to cheer on another country when mine is competing am I but like I say it wont be the same for me as it has been in other years. I'm really not gettting across here what I'm trying to say although it makes perfect sense to me (but then am slightly hungover ) -

I'm not chucking the towel in 21stch but obviously was more interested because Mark was in the team. I'll still be patriotic and loyal to Middlo and the lads and cheer them all the way (with one exception of course ) . Yet with Mark unable to participate it just puts a little bit of a dampner on it for his fans. It's a bit like being a loyal Scott Nicholls, Nikki P or even a Jason Crump fan if they are not riding you'll still support the team but probably not as much as you would of done had your favourite been able to ride. There's not many if any fans out there whose head has not gone down because we haven't got Mark in there, within TEAM GB he has to be one if not the most popular peoples 1st choice for a squad member but who can fill his speedway boots? -

Now if you were called "The Know" then I'd believe he was already in Surprised in all honesty his name had not been mentioned before even for reserve. He's certainly holding his own at the moment for Eastbourne. Yep but how much longer is the slump going to go on for Trees for TEAM GB Manager!!!!!!!! why has this not been done in the past? Must admit with Mark out I'm not all that fussed who rides this year now Bring out the young pups! -

Everytime I sit at my pc and look at my Hackney Speedway 1975 poster from the Hackney Reunion, when I look at it I instantly think of my happy childhood spent on a Friday night at Waterden Road -
Name Of Famous Rider Who Committed Suicide?
shazzybird replied to chris67bug's topic in Years Gone By
Exactly know you are not supposed to know that ............. so you don't know the reasons behind what KC did either I'm not condoning (sp) what he did in no way shape or form I just don't think it is anything to do with his speedway career and what he achieved for British Speedway. Also what did or didn't go on in his private life has nothing to do with speedway either! -

Really! like I couldn't believe your comments as well, you've done nothing but slate KC all the way through this thread, what he did was wrong but that doesn't take away what the man did within British Speedway. No one is saying that what he did was right, he took his and his wifes lives leaving their children orphans........... but you are trying to take away his speedway as well Nothing what I'd expect from you Iris dragging up old posts from other threads and at the time of my posting of "quote 2" my old man had just run off with a ! so my comments there were a tad justified don't you think As for the thread in the first place was the person who started this sent in to wind the forum up because if they were it's bloody worked this end!!!!! -

shazzybird replied to chris67bug's topic in Years Gone By
Yes what KC did was wrong but............. a speedway rider does believe it or not have a personal life which REALLY is none of anyones business, what he did off track has nothing to do with what he achieved on track and that goes for all the others riders that you feel have wronged "Our" sport for having personal lives!!!!! There but for the grace of god go I .......... mind your halos don't slip you could end up strangling yourselves -
Not really .... my boy needs a new lot but has size 13 feet just thought it would save a phone call
