Hazzman that was excellent reading about your day out in Cardiff chuckled throughout, sounds like you had a great time, like the idea of the sweepstake especially your poor 'ol Unc. Glad you and everyone else enjoyed the day out thats what it's all about afterall. Maybe next year you can all make it to Sams bar and meet the forum bunch they are ever so friendly -

Now you've asked something............ The ones Uncle Ted was in 3 of them '74' 76' '78 I think I know each time he was there he made the rostrum never won but was in the top 3. I would be grateful if you have them on disc as we have very little footage of his riding and would love our kids to share in what we had when we were growing up

World Team Cup??
shazzybird replied to ha en bra födelsedag's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What about WTC Manager for TEAM GB?? Middlo for sure he's managed a winning team this year in Poole again, also the result of the WTC this year should put him in good stead for another season as Manager for TEAM GB. Be interesting to read other peoples comments as well regarding their choice(s) -

When you say "Team" who or what are you referring to? There was enough GP's to sort out a set up, everyone else seemed to manage ok what was missing for Mark? -

Everyone wants Mark to be in the GP but does Mark want to? Yes his win in 2000 should count for something but he's not really done a lot in the GP's since, don't get me wrong I love to watch and cheer on Mark, he is the best and always will be in my eyes even if he came last I'd still rate him He's beat the best in the EL but the GP series was something else like he said there was something missing maybe for next year it should be Mark. I'm expecting a bit of flack for this comment as there are a lot of Mark fans out there but let's face it his heart just wasn't in it this year was it? -
Well Done TRICK!
shazzybird replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That is absolutely disgusting, I really hope you rubbed it into them big time don't suppose we could name and shame here could we? I must add though as the beginning of your post TRick or Jason.... I think TRick puts more bums on seats -

If you can't get a buzz risking your life riding a bike at break neck speed then there is something seriously lacking your life! My little lad has to have this stuff through a nebulizer (sp) believe me it doesn't do anything for him except make his breathing a lot easier! -
I'll do it for nothing Loads of anger, blimey he'd be like he had a rocket up his jacksy!

5 Nominees for 2005 GP Series
shazzybird replied to Jason.C's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Rob love your signature, remember seeing that on the GP , Was a nice shot to see! Like a few others have said 9-13 failing that as 13 is an unlucky number maybe have a one off meeting for that 13th Spot, then again what would be the point of racing to get in the top 8 if you are guaranteed 9-13 qualify as well -
This the Black and White makes it more nostalgic and more "the way they were" feeling to the magazine, keep up the good work TMC. My dad has now borrowed all four copies as he wants to have a good read through them, especially after seeing a bit about Canterbury in there xx

Jason Crump 2004 World Champ
shazzybird replied to shazzybird's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
How many more times!!!!!!!! Born to British Parents whilst his father was serving in the British Army in Malta does not make him Maltese! Jason Born to Aussie parents whilst living in Britain makes him dual nationality but has made it perfectly clear in the past his win(s) are for Australia either way he's World Champ -
Well Done TRICK!
shazzybird replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think he meant person and that person being my kid who's just got to bed sulking cos TRick's #2 not #1 and now he has to wait until next year for another chance to see him become #1 again. Could be Peoples' though as apart from #2 son there is a fella at Poole that looks and dresses like someone from TeamTRick yet has a Dorset twang to his voice
