I have a lot of good memories from my time supporting Canterbury in the late 60's, early 70's and a lot of them include Johnnie, even in the twilight of his promoting days he was a fantastic showman and always the centre of attention. Oh but he did was still around when the GP came on the tv., Jim Blanchard and Ivan signed a lovely print for my Mum for Mothers Day when she gets home from NZ this week sometime she will be over the moon with it, will probably take pride of place in the "Kiwi" Room Nice to see everyone again, there were some missing this year but it's what you make of it, quite a few more stayed up chatting til the early hours and yes Barney you stayed up later than me this time make the most of it, it wont happen again!

Why drag it all up again?

Would of thought it all comes down to the tax man if they give an accurate figure then there's a humongous tax bill by the end of the season. Some tracks do give out attendance figures but too be honest probably a lot lower than are actually there. I was at Iwade on Sunday and throughout the season they averaged 80!!!! yes just 80 per meeting................. this season we hope to double that ok so it only makes 160 but it's a start and if everyone pitches in with Steve, Graham & Sheeeeeeeeeep's ideas it could work. I must add though it is an excellent afternoon out and everyone is more than welcome to join us.
