Maybe (just maybe)............ if he had moved he could have caused damage if there was any there to an unsuspected injury, at the end of the day he got up he was fine and the panic for all speedway fans was over. -

yep that too I Know I'm not allowed Sir Kelv in the team so................. we'll have him and Chris Louis Commentating (would rather them both in the team though) Mark Loram,Scott Nicholls,Lee Richardson,David Norris,Joe Screen,Gary Havelock Dean Barker,Carl Stonehewer. Joking apart I watched Sir Kelv at Eastbourne when he was a guest for Peterborough not very good at Eastie and took out his own team mate so probably best he's left on the trackside...... sorry Sir Kelv On saying that his performance at reserve for Arena so far this season surely he warrants a place in TEAM GB. For Butts can we have Leigh Lanham just for something nice to look at -

Well if it's any consolation my little lad watched the replay the next day (set his alarm so he could watch TRick) he woke the house up screaming and crying because TRick was on the track not moving, I never realised how strongly he supported TRick until he asked me to phone Middlo to ask if TRick was ok. Bless..... it was the replay and I knew from a text from Tabby that Tony was ok, so after calming him down we watched the replay, well I did with one eye open as still half asleep. He did ask why the ambulance man didn't run though and that from a 7 year old. -
Dont even go there!! there will only be one King Kenny. Well said Jez I was trying to think of a polite reply so I'm glad you beat me to it

Iris I've been fighting with my dad all weekend for my copies back!

For all of those that take the mickey out of me re-living the "Old days" when "Speedway was Good" they should take a little peek at this magazine and experience what we loved all those years ago. Unfortunately for those that weren't there they can only imagine what it was like, being a part of "Way back then" was an experience there were good times there were bad times and that inc. Fatal Accidents Vic was one and Graham Banks during a grasstrack meeting in 1978 was another, both were team m8s and good friends of my Uncle Ted at some point during his career. I was lucky enough to have met a lot of the riders from the 70's 80's mainly because of my family speedway connections and I am very grateful to the Editor of the "Backtrack" magazine for bringing all my childhood memories flooding back. xx Can't wait for the 3rd issue, I know my Dad is looking forward to the next one too

Paul Whittacker as far as I know still lives in the Kent area, Snowy he can be found in March at the VSRA bless him, keep trying to get Bryn there but he's having none of it maybe this year huh Bryn? Chris Galvin yep I remember him and El Tel his partner in crime we had some excellent laughs with the pair of these at Canterbury & Iwade. Who knows if Chris had applied to the Council that fateful year (87) we may still be going now Oh well times change but like Bee says you can never beat the 70's 80's Hackney was a wonderful place to grow up and I was pleased to be a part of that era when Unc was riding. Bryn are you going to venture over to Iwade on Sunday for the Sittingbourne/Wimbledon meeting if you do bring Mark and Sam with you please

TMC would you please on my congratulations to the team at Backtrack it's ......... well words fail me (Shazzybird lost for words theres a first!) absolutely fantastic reading through I actually thought I was back in the 70's/80s and it was wonderful, so much information and some great photos even a young Jason Crump my god how he's changed. Middlo hmmmmmm well with his dodgy haircut and that tash lmao he has definately improved with age (sorry Middlo it had to be said! ) A young Dean Barker makes me wonder why I never fancied him years ago......... oh I know why because we had Robert Tilbury and Richard Pettman at Canterbury that's why Marvyn Cox my god......... everyone looks so young, shame we all have to grow up isn't it. (well some do anyway, me not being one fo them I'm afraid ) xx Keep up the good work waiting patiently now for the next Edition xx
-
Excellent, subscribed yesterday and got Editions 1 & 2 this morning, the memories came flooding back, blimey Middlo you didn't half look young back then If you haven't already subscribed and were a lover of speedway back in the 70's/80's it's a must, will have to hide my copies although I did say that my Dad would enjoy reading them and could borrow them tough!.............. he can buy his own I'm not parting with mine! Well done to the production team can't wait for the next issue xx
-
Do you not have any memories to share?
-
Gideon have something similar on their site loads of pictures of a lot of riders Cheers TMC have subscribed and would like from Issue 1 if possible. Look forward to receiving this as I'm sure my Dad will also be interested in having a read as well.
