shazzybird replied to jeffster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I do hope this is the case Liz, my dad is hoping to get tickets down there he wants to sit right "up in the gods" as he calls it as there looks lots of space up there in previous years. No airhorns & no kids kicking him in the back -
Gordon Kennett what about him never quite made World Champion but always a cut above the rest in any other meeting

shazzybird replied to Trapper's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So Trapper after concentrating on how many "Y'know's" Nikki P said did you actually listen to anything else in the interview? It's one thing slating him for his riding like we all are guilty of but too take the p out of someone who is trying to speak English because us being ignorant, really wouldn't be able to understand his native language come on give him a break. -
Not sure if he managed Eastbourne but his brothers Dave and Gordon both rode there. Still talk to him! lol As a youngster Iris I was scared stiff of Barney and used to run hide and cry everytime I saw him, now he's one of my bestest buds at speedway we meet up whenever we are at the same venue and can be found in the bar after the meeting. At the VSRA 2003 was the first time I really sat and had a chat with Barney in my life although he had been good friends of my family since the year dot. Told him I'm not scared of him anymore and can drink him under the table Just goes to show what speedway is all about one big happy family and still friends today with all my family xx

I'm with you here Wackie and previous seasons Ryan Sullivan and Todd Wiltshire but............ Only when the Brits are out which hopefully this year we will shout til the end for one or even four of them FT you cannot go under A whether Grumpy was born here or not, he wouldn't put his win to us he said it was for Australia
-
He's a member of the forum and quite often has a look can't wait till he sees that SwineTown definately not purple though

Barney Kennett, Ed's Uncle rode for Canterbury in the 70's/80's. Has a few good stories to tell. He also said if they had the rulings then what they had now there would have been a few skint riders due to fines (just for you SwineTown )
