My main memory of Denzil was coming back from Rye House with Denzil, Jorge, Dave Mullett, Jamie Luckhurst, Lofty me and my friend all in a Ford Cortina three bikes on a trailer no lights on the tailboard and not getting pulled over by the old bill for overloading Then there was Deanland excellent place after an Eastbourne meeting if you was ever lucky to go there I'm sure everyone has a memory of it.

This is why 'im indoors finds speedway boring every meeting I've made him watch on tv., there has been no overtaking and I know this as to prove him wrong I watched for it especially! Now if he was to bother to get interested enough for Cardiff then he would see something totally different but.............. I enjoy myself at speedway too much without him there so shhhhhhh don't tell him how good our sport is even if there is a lot of negative postings.

Firstly the title needs adjusting it's CANTERBURY not CATERBURY! Ross used to stay with my grandparents when he rode at Canterbury and even now my grandparents have passed on my Uncle now lives in their house that bedroom will always be known as Ross Gilbertsons room.
