Australian Gp Is Back
Odds On replied to Stats's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I stand corrected, Masters received a fine for $1200, hope he enjoyed that one punch for that, not the smartest cookie in the tin. cant think of many times Nicki has been banned from the sport?!!!... -

just shows what a sad state of affairs the GPs are in when a old crusty wins it. The prestige that was attached to being speedway world champion has long gone. -

a success?!...the costs for logistics etc etc would be far higher than the "average" GP, put it this way Im glad its not money! Masters wont get in the GP series as long as his ass points downwards! -

Conspiracy theory....Masters did what he did to take away the heat from the poor turn out of the convicts, a mere crowd of 27,000 will only mean one thing when looking at bottom line figures....."why the fekk are we having GPs in Oz"!! -

Thing is there's always someone somewhere that is that little bit bigger and harder, Boyce dined out as the speedway hard man for years after punching Gollob, until Boyce met his match one night against his own team mate. -

. Because a riders mechanics/pit dwellers are under the control of the rider, trust me both riders will be fined. -

Now Len Silver Resigns As Co Promoter Rye House
Odds On replied to Dave Stummings's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I just hope the promoters at Rye House don't have any grand illusions of making money out of the sport, one thing is for sure if Uncle Len was making money he surely wouldn't of sold it!! Anyway, good luck to the new promoters. -
lets be perfectly honest here, is it realistic to think that the probability of a new stadium/track being built is next to zero?
-
Goggles are only to be worn in non Poole meetings!
-
biggest change will see the black and white tactical helmet cover change, it will now be a blue colour with a skull and cross bones on it.

take a look at Reading and Milton Keynes and look at their new stadiums and then look at what Swindon are supposed to have!.. -
you know as do most people who are close to riders do, lets be honest the speedway world is pretty small and tongues wag!
-
There in lays the whole problem with speedway, this mentality is what's killing our sport to a degree, the promoters just cant afford the demands of these so called top riders.
-
Riders need to be more realistic in their demands when signing for a club, surely even they must realise that the home crowds they see in front of them week in week out are not paying the bills? The promoters are losing money hand over fist and in the end it will mean that the well will run dry, are todays riders partly to blame for the state of todays speedway downwards spiral?
-
The riders need to take pay cuts, the people who pay the bills(the promoters) are losing money, any business where the outgoings are bigger than the income is treading water and is only a matter of time before it all goes ** up!

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Odds On replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
(ps. Just a shame there was so much chit-chat about 'fuel additives' in the away pits!! Can't think who or what they meant?!! Apparantly similar comments at Somerset on Tuesday too!!) Guess you went up to the rider concerned and said as much? -
Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Odds On replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
well done to the Pirates who on paper are the champions but the real champions are the Aces. Also full credit to Cook who was by far the most consistant rider over the two legs. -

he broke the rules and got away with it, he also broke the rules and got away with being foolish, another day and both could of been different outcomes. -
