Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
Mr. Clemens replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
She excluded Ellis to make up for the first heat exclusion. The commentators were saying all 4 back and were surprised when it was exclusion. I thought no it's not a surprise at all and it wasn't -
Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
Mr. Clemens replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not really worth watching it now. I thought it would be a one sided meeting but poor refereeing decisions has killed it -
Yes I was aware of that, but my son, who is not a speedway supporter in any way, was concerned that he'd had no response to the message he sent I said I would enquire on the forum. I don't expect that my son will get a response but that's how it is with things these days.

Spoke with my son this day and in among asked him if he'd had any response to the message he left on the phone re the book? The answer was, as I expected, no. It's getting on to 2 months now since it was ordered. Has anyone else had this problem of non-communication?

Belle Vue -V Sheffield POF leg 1 Monday 10th Oct
Mr. Clemens replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Had to turn the sound off because of Tatum's inane prattling. There should be a facility provided where you can turn the commentary off but still here all the other sounds -

Mr. Clemens replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I do my best reason I am 'forcing' myself to watch it I am expecting both finals to be great meetings The problem was I was expecting the semis to be great meetings has they have been in the past and they weren't. -

Hope it's a good meeting to make up for the dross of the semis -
Sheffield v Wolves 06.19.22 PO semi second leg
Mr. Clemens replied to Cue Ball's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don't say these things lightly as I was really looking forward to watching these play offs not having had TV access for some time. I used to watch it on sky and the difference with what I saw then and what I am seeing now is unbelievable. The Sky presentation was highly professional but when I watched the meeting that was rained off, I couldn't believe how amateurish the whole presentation was, compared to Sky. The interesting thing being most of those who were involved with Sky are doing it for Eurosport!!! The actual racing wasn't much better in the meetings that ran, there seems to be a 'tired' air about it all, as though it doesn't really matter who wins this league. It's a shame because I love my speedway, but I get the impression that if you are not prepared to accept any drivel that's served up then you are not a real speedway supporter. In other words, this is the 'viscious speedway circle' leading to the ultimate demise of the sport as an option of interest to any organisation looking to get involved in real heavy duty sponsorship. -
Sheffield v Wolves 06.19.22 PO semi second leg
Mr. Clemens replied to Cue Ball's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's been evident that speedway is dying a death for a long time, but it has always been in the background till now. In watching these three play offs it seems it is now 'in your face' and I felt I was actually watching it dying this painful death on TV for all to see. -
Sheffield v Wolves 06.19.22 PO semi second leg
Mr. Clemens replied to Cue Ball's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This is the third play off meeting I have watched. I really was expecting this one to be a good one but it's as tedious as the other two. -
Belle Vue v Ipswich Play off semi 2nd leg 3 Oct
Mr. Clemens replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I tried my best but 10 heats of a foregone conclusion was enough for me I think it was the fake enthusiasm of Kelvin Tatum that did it for me -
Belle Vue v Ipswich Play off semi 2nd leg 3 Oct
Mr. Clemens replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why is it that Eurosport presentation is amateurish compared to what it was like on Sky. Watched for the first time when the play off semi was rained off. It sounded like all the presenters were on helium Then the Ipswich v Belle Vue was much the same with a meeting so tedious I switched it off after 10 heats This meeting is so one sided that it won't be long before I am turning it off again I don't think I will be taking up Euro-sports offer to renew -
Hope it is coming soon as mine has been ordered 2 weeks ago. Recently, my son left a phone message to the publisher asking the reason for the delay. I asked him today if he'd had a reply and he said not. He suggested I came on here to enquire. I do think it would be more appropriate to put a date on the speedway star advert rather than 'coming soon' as that can extend to infinity.

Thank you for the link.

Why is it they don't publish GP information anymore ?
-
Speedway is in decline because most of the people in the country don't want to go to watch it.
-
Perhaps they've been rained off and the rearranged meeting will take place at a later date

I know what you mean. We went to Bradford for a couple of seasons after Halifax closed. It was never the same and with the meetings being on a Friday night, eventually, we just stopped going.

Armando Castagna article in SS.
Mr. Clemens replied to Fromafar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
They should all leave together and set up their own system. Where there's a will there's a way. If the will is not there then things will continue as they are to their natural conclusion, whatever that may be. -
King's Lynn Stars 2020
Mr. Clemens replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Said it before, I have been involved in the Polish community for forty years and have only met one person, in all that time, who was a speedway fan. -
Armando Castagna article in SS.
Mr. Clemens replied to Fromafar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think the article confirmed the FIM doesn't do much for speedway. I think they should have left the FIM years ago and said so years ago -
definitely one of the all time greats

Why is Speedway not recognised?
Mr. Clemens replied to Henllys's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Perhaps it's because no one can see it -
MORE POLISH LEAGUE INTERFERENCE
Mr. Clemens replied to Gunner85's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I would think that Polish speedway doesn't have the remotest interest in really developing any riders, to world class status, other than their own. On the other hand they may well be totally dedicated to ensuring that international speedway continues to blossom and will work hand in glove with the FIM and all the other domestic speedway authorities to make sure individual and team world champions come from any involved country. As they say time will tell.
