  1. Really surprised to see Ben Hopwood hasnt got a Team spot yet, nor Benji Compton, Luke Chessell, are they going to Rye House, they all deserve a Team Place.
  2. You mean Danny has only been riding for 8 years ?
  3. Welcome back Matt Williamson, leaves us 4.53 for the piece of the jigsaw, interesting as to who that might be., The jungle drums are suggesting Aaron Mogridge.
  4. So have you noticed Josh Bates hasnt signed for anyone, but i have my doubts he will want to do 3 Leagues, though if we have gone for top heavy as you say Dan G, but Im pretty sure him and Lozza go back a long way, Im pretty certain Lozza will have him back, probably as Storms Captain. My own thoughts are unless there is another Ellis Perks and i havent seen or heard of one, we will have gone for a progressive middle points scorer, and usually we go for at least one steady eddie type rider, but with 11.13 left we have plenty options. If its two middle of the roaders then Sam Chapman and surprisingly i have heard Gareth Isherwoods name whispered, and he is the steady eddie i mentioned.
  5. Max Ommer Um Clegg back at the Heathens for 2015.
  6. Welcome back Captain Clegg, as expected Max Clegg re signs, and is probably the youngest Captain Cradley Heathens have ever had in there history.
  7. Well i thought Luke Chessell made tremendous strides towards the back end of 2014, yes he still has a fall but not so often, but i did notice this seems to happen when a rider is in front of him, and he cant choose his own line so easily, However Luke is one of the best gaters around so that doesnt happen to often, also his style seems more natural now, and we musnt forget he held the Bronze Helmet for a short time that in itself is NO mean achievement. I expect Luke to gain a 7+ average this season. Now why bring this up on a Brummie thread, well Luke is still available, and for me just the type of rider Brum need, and a few other Teams for that matter.
  8. Dont know much about Harvie Banks except he has a good pedigree, from what I gather on the jungle drums, Brum have there 7 all sorted, what might prove to be an issue is Adams average, it seems Brum advisor Phil Morris seems to think his average is his lower NL average of 8.90, whereas other NL Team managers suggest it is his higher 9.34 average, now if Brum have sorted there 7 riders, it will be interesting what average they have used. So it seems there pre season has been similar to last year in so far as that they will have Team manager who hasnt signed the riders, unless Mr D comes on board, that is if he isnt already.
  9. So where did the 8.90 come from,? when 2 current NL Team managers told us Adam was on the higher of his two averages, oh i forgot Phil Morris has connections haha.
  10. Adam Extance is the first signing for Buxton.
  11. First signing being announced this morning...
  12. I think this is the 2nd time Danny has retired in what 3 years, may i suggest he made the correct decision, as he will only be throwing good money after bad. Concentrate on his business and forget about the perceived bright lights.
  13. Brum have the Top rider in the League in Adam Ellis, they arguably have the best Pair of riders, in Adam and Tom Perry, Zach Whatsisname wont be far short of being the best 3 pointer, IMO Ellis Perks is the best 3 pointer. Cradleys No1 and its pretty obvious now who its going to be, will be amongst the better No1s, but Morley, Ellis, Halsey, Sarjeant all have more experience than our No1, as for our Top Pairing, again Brum just shade it, i cant comment on other Teams pairs as i dont know who they are. In response to uk martins words of Cheque book Speedway, please tell me how poor little Cradley could compete with Coventry, Birmingham, Belle Vue, it wasnt only through the Cheque book. Brum are the 2nd city in the Uk, and let me tell YOU, its not for want of trying that Brum have NOT got Ellis Perks, they allegedly tried there damndest. If Brums best would get off there fat arses and support there Speedway Team, you should be able to walk this little NL league with all the advantages a second city has, and allegedly its NOT just Cradley trying to win at all costs. But good luck Brum i have nothing against you, but for people to point the finger before a wheels been turned, when its a case of if you cant beat em join em. Oh let me remind you Bruce Penhall signed as an unknown, Eric Gundersen was a reserve when he signed, Jan o Pedersen another who started at the bottom, Bobby Shwartz unknown, Lance King another unknown, Greg Hancock unknown and Billy Hamill unknown, from recollection the two big money signings were Phil Collins and the late Simon Wigg. Maybe your promotion in those days should have been a bit wiser as to what was happening across the Atlantic.
  14. Danny Phillips wouldnt be a bad call for your 5 pointer Vog. And it seems likely there is nothing holding back the signing of Moggo junior.
  15. Thanks for bringing this up, I searched for this at the seasons end, but with no luck. So "In the end" is the BSF 2014 NL Team Manager of the Year, well done to him, as for myself the years report has to read, "Could be better"
  16. The best for me at the moment is we have signed 4 very decent riders, and still have 19.71 for our final 3 riders, though Im fully expecting 8.58 of that to be used up when we announce our Captain at the end of the week.
  17. Yeah, i was thinking 3rd 3 pointer signed up nice mix between them, and loads of potential, it will be good to watch them progress as the season goes on.
  18. Ellis Perks Is following family tradition by joining Cradley, Official announcement follows shortly.
  19. Its Official Ellis Perks is the 3rd Heathen.
  20. Following on from our first 2 signings of Michael Neale and Nathan Greaves, who is being announced tomorrow morning ? it seems we have whoever this may be and another who is being announced at the Christmas party, apparently this rider will also be Captain.
  21. Looks to me, that they may be going down the only 2 X 3 pointers route. Personally i think Luke Chessell would be a half decent signing appeared to make some significant progress in the 2nd half of last season, even held the Bronze Helmet having won it up at Stoke, and he is on a decent average which he will certainly improve on. Its never easy to find the balance between finding your own youngsters and having a competitive Team.
  22. Zach Wajtknecht is the Brummies latest signing, Speedway fans are going to have fun spelling that name, i know i did..
