  1. Not too sure how many of those are Ipswich assets ? Hans Andersen pretty sure isn't, Tungate not sure but have something saying he is a Poole asset on loan (not sure). Bach not and Barker still Coventry along with Nicholls. Heeps don't know and last I remember Risager was a Swindon asset and Lanham a Lakeside asset. If the limit is 38 and Ipswich move up, Scott Nicholls would be a great rider to have as a #1 as not many teams will have many 7+_ riders and they can keep Barker (on loan) or sign another near 7 point rider, they only have 24 for 5 places left to fill and that would enable three or four of the current line up to stay with them and build a solid team Good Luck
  2. I have talk sport on in the van and have to say that I like the HJ Show and did hear Andy Jacobs's line. I text them in and have since sent them an email ...... let's see if they take me up on the offer !! The problem with Talk Sport and many other Sports related TV and Radio shows is that 80% of it is always about football and that is unlikely to ever change. Let's face it every National newspaper very rarely features any other sport on it's back page !
  3. I have had a mixture of things (work, pc problems, commitments etc) that meant the leaderboard hasn't been updated lately. However I will this weekend be working on this and get the full table sorted. PS; Woffy Woffy Woffy !!!
  4. As many of you have seen or heard that Tai winning the world title has been featured on many TV, Radio and newspapers. All this is good for the sport and the people responsable for getting this coverage deserve a pat on the back ...... but be careful not to hurt that collar bone !!
  5. That was the best bit of the draw for me and possibly Tai as he wanted to meet Jarek early on to get the job done early and throwing in the other two Poles was just the boost Tai needed to go out and win the heat which he did in style and thanks to the 5+ Swindon asset (8+ Poole rider), he won the title when Jarek s.lipped to third. Tai has numerous interviews and tv appearances lined up but at present he has a few things to sort out in Poland and will be back here soon and appear on BBC Breakfast as one of his appeasrances. He has a great new sponsorship deal sorted in Poland and improved one while as many will have noticed he has also signed up to MONSTER and by the time he takes to the track again over here on Tuesday 22nd at Monmore Green in the Bank's Olympique he should have contracts done to ride in Poland (Wroclaw), Sweden (Vetlanda) and Britain (Wolverhampton) for 2014
  6. I am confident in saying Freddie will get a Wild Card nomination by Sweden ....... even as a Wolves and Freddie fan I can understand everyone saying he shouldn't be given it after a poor 2013 season in the GP's and to finish with a very poor 2 points in Torun. However I have heard the views of some people who may have a say in who is selected as Wild Cards and that's why I think Freddie will be given the Swedish spot ...... rightly or wrongly ! No one should question Holder and Gollob getting them really so it's the final two nominations that are really up for discussion and with Freddie (most likely) to get one then it's the final place that will be up to who gets the nod

  8. After the last weekend I feel confident in saying that three of the four Wild Cards will be going to Chris Holder (injured), Tomasz Gollob (injured) and Fredrik Lindgren (Sweden). That leaves just ONE Wild Card and for entertainment it is most likely Grigory Laguta is favourite to land the #15 race jacket.
  9. In case I forget to post, I am going for Darcy Ward, Fredrik Lindgren, Andreas Jonsson and Adrian Miedzinski
  10. The top 8 are all but sorted with KK, Bjerre and Smolinski from the GP Challenge leaving four wild card picks. Chris Holder and Tomasz Gollob are nailed on and Sweden have to have one rider at least and only AJ or Freddie can be under consideration and Freddie and this season they have both competed in 9 rounds together and its so far 4-4 as to who scored the most with one tie. Both have valid reasons to be included next season as the Swedish representative. That leaves one space and unless both Freddie and AJ are given wild cards, the only riders I see that could bring something to the series are Grigory Laguta or Patryk Dudek and for pure entertainment, Laguta should get the vote.
  11. All the scores from the previous rounds have been calculated and a new leaderboard will be posted within the next 24 hours. So here we are then. Eleven rounds gone and just one to go and we know now that their will be a NEW World Champion crowned in Torun which will either be former World #2, Jarek Hampel from Poland or British Champion, Tai #woffywoffywoffy Woffinden who holds a 16 point lead in the title race. Odds are that Tai will be the man celebrating on Saturday night (as will I in Torun) but in this prediction competition, the winner is not always the best rider. It's the rider that makes me look a novice and goes out and scores a bag full of points that I didn't predict. ...... So get you posts in before Saturdays start time. TORUN PREDICTIONS 13 Darcy Ward 12 Jarek Hampel 11 Nicki Pedersen 10 Niels K Iversen 10 Greg Hancock 9 Matej Zagar 8 Troy Batchelor 8 Krzysztof Kasprzak 7 Tai Woffinden 7 Martin Vaculik 6 Fredrik Lindgren 6 Andreas Jonsson 5 Adrian Meidzinski 3 Leon Madsen 3 Antonio Lindback 2 Ales Dryml GOOD LUCK to everyone.
  12. Will be flying out on Friday from Stanstead to Gdansk and then staying in a B&B nearby before driving down to Torun on the morning. Flying back on the Sunday but not until a bit of a celebration on the Saturday night. It's a shame that possibly three of the biggest names in Holder, Gollob and Sayfutdinov will be missing but if Tai can secure the title here by scoring the required six points (or Hampel dropping points) then it's going to be a day to remember for sure in a stadium that is purpose built for the sport with a complete sell out crowd. Not long to go for the final National Anthem of the season !!!
  13. Was hoping before last night that Tai scored one less point than Jarek but most importantly got through the meeting in one piece. Sadly that crash has cost him the chance to go out in a blaze of glory as I know he was looking to go to Torun and wanted to give Darcy a beating on his home turf and win the GP. However Tai's aim has always been get the points required and come the final GP, if Tai scores points or Jarek drops points, Tai could well just see it out until he reaches that finishing line. Once it is 100% sure he is the 2013 World Champion, I can't see Tai looking for anything other than the painkillers and a podium finish is possibly more likely for Ales Dryml. Working self employed has it's bad points and being in the transport sector isn't rewarding, so after a month without work, I'm just pleased I have managed to book up for Torun and travel via Stanstead and Gdansk to see Tai rightly and much deservedly crowned WORLD #1. ..... Until then it's the play off semi's v Birmingham (hopefully with Iversen as guest) and a trip to the local kit firm to get a shirt done up for the big night !!!
  14. Not yet he hasn't ...... but will have by the end of October Have spoken before at home impressed I have been with Tai this year and how he has changed to the ultimate pro and he is reaping the rewards big time and already has his sights set on next season by meeting potential sponsors now to ensure he starts next season even better than this season. Haven't read all comments on Tai but at the Slovenian GP you might have heard that Tai said he had a bit of a swim and a bike ride in the morning. That's him being modest as a swim was something like 100 lengths, a controlled breakfast, cycling 30 kilometers to the track and then back, a sleep for a few hours before getting his bicycle back out of the van and to the meeting. To me that shows you that even knowing Emil was not riding, he still wants to do things according to plan and regardless of what Hampel does in Sweden, Tai will be out to score what he can and if thats not enough to win it tonight then so be it. He has a massive following going out to Torun of family, friends and sponsors and until the final GP is over, then he will celebrate or lower his guard ...... for a hour or two any way !! Should he win the title tonight, his first meeting back is the play off semi at Monmore v Birmingham on Monday ....... if he wins it in Torun, it will be on the following Monday v Swindon or Poole
  15. 8 Tomasz Gollob 7 Fredrik Lindgren 7 Matej Zagar 7 Krzysztof Kasprzak POLAND ......... hopefully
  16. I have fallen behind in updating the scoreboard but all is in hand and I appologise to all for the delays. However we now have Stockholm coming up and POSSIBLY the confirmation of a NEW World Champion !!! SWEDISH PREDICTIONS 12 Tai Woffinden 12 Jarek Hampel 11 Nicki Pedersen 11 Darcy Ward 9 Greg Hancock 9 Neils K Iversen 8 Tomasz Gollob 7 Fredrik Lindgren 7 Matej Zagar 7 Krzysztof Kasprzak 7 Andreas Jonsson 6 Martin Vaculik 6 Antonio Lindback 5 Leon Madsen 3 Ales Dryml 2 Kim Nilsson BONUS POINTS; Sweden or Poland ...... Where will the Title be decided 20 points if you are right
  17. Maybe you are correct about most of those but most stadiums are rented and as for the standard of racing ..... get to Monmore Green more often !!
  18. Firstly Tai would have preferred Emil to have been fully fit and in the GP tomorrow but if anyone thinks he will now play it safe is totally wrong. Tai had a plan set out from day one which included diet, training, relaxing and when he raced which is why he decided not to ride Sweden so he can be abroad at the weekends but weekdays he is in England going through his routine day in day out. Now he has 3 rounds left and holds a 21 point lead over Jarek Hampel and playing it safe would be to score 30 points in the remaining rounds hoping Jarek doesnt somehow score 52. However Tai will be going to Slovenia and te other two rounds looking at winning or at least making the rostrum. He will still be on the gas full time and if he does end up as the 2013 World Champion it will be because he has done what he set out to do in each and every round. Can't wait for Torun as I am 95% sure to be flying out to hopefully celebrate the crowning of a NEW BRITISH World Champion !!
  19. PLEASE NOTE; Emil Sayfutdinov has yet to be rued out of Saturday's GP ...... however I have ruled him out of this one Ales Dryml and Leon Madsen are both in there on 4 points each ..... if either doesnt ride, you will NOT be penalised IF Emil does ride, all he will be doing is taking points off the others ...... but unlikely !! MY PREDICTIONS 12 Tai Woffinden 12 Darcy Ward 6 Andreas Jonsson 5 Martin Vaculik
  20. The last time Wolves came to Perry Barr, Tai and Freddie had tactical rides and both failed to beat a Brummies rider and it ended 57-33 which was a bit of a smacking The time before ended 46-44 and Wolves never used a tactical ride, however the result was so close mainly due to Freddie and Tai only dropping one point between them from 11 starts and gained 5-1's in heats 13 and 15 ..... hardly a smacking. Can't think of any sport where you can take out a lesser person and put in a top star for a short time. However no one complained when that was in place. The main reason a tactical ride was introduced was to replace the tactical replacement was to give the lower riders all their programmed rides as you would often have teams with a 3.00 number seven, e has 3 rides but got taken out of one race just to give the big earners an extra ride, Thankully the 15 meters back was taken out, although it did provide some good races, but again it only suited the real top riders like Ward, Lindgren etc and now at least you can have riders like Skornicki, Barker or Zengota gven tactical rides. To me it's a lesser of two evils but for a team to really pull something back, they need an 8-1 and that means oth programmed riders have to perform and if they do get maximum points, they were at least going to get a 5-1 anyway, so they will still be losing either way. PS; If you think Wolves always get a smacking by Brummies ...... bring on the play offs and hopefully the final !!!!
  21. Now this example shows a fault in the system. Iversen and Dryml both had just ONE heat win while Madsen and Zagar had TWO and Batchelor had THREE In my opinion, BATCHELOR should have been seeded to the Run-Off final Iversen and Dryml should have had a runoff with the winner going to meet Zagar and Madsen with the top one or two going to meet Batchelor. As it was, Iversen and Dryml did have a run-off but Dryml got another chance instead of being eliminated. As for the Poole GPC, when Iversen finished in the top three here, they should have ordered a run-off as fourth place was almost certainly going to be a qualifying place. If they are saying that 4th was only a reserve, then they should stick by that and either nominate another wild card or 9th highest in the GP's qualifies instead. They knew 4th place was going to be a qualifying place, so a run off should have been run.
  22. LEADERBOARD WILL BE UPDATED SOON SLOVENIA PREDICTIONS 12 Tai Woffinden 12 Emil Sayfutdinov 12 Darcy Ward 9 Matej Zagar 9 Nicki Pedersen 9 Neils K Iversen 9 Greg Hancock 9 Jarek Hampel 7 Tomasz Gollob 6 Krzysztof Kasprzak 6 Fredrik Lindgren 6 Andreas Jonsson 5 Martin Vaculik 4 Ales Dryml 4 Leon Madsen 4 Antonio Lindback 1 Aleksander Conda Matej Zagar holds the track record he set back in 2006 while the last GP here was in 2009 and won by Emil Sayfutdinov. Tai Woffinden wants to lift another GP title and is fully fit now but his main aim is to match or better Emil's score.
  23. Is that Ole OLSEN or Tony OLSSON
  24. First let me say that I didn't agree with Bomber riding in the GP Challenge and thought Krzysztof Buczkowski should have ridden being next in line. He did ride and did a good job to score 10 points and now has to wait and see if Smolinski gets in because of Iversen being Top 8 after being given 5th place due to heat wins ...... however Dryml wasn't given the extra place last season when Crump announced his retirement before the end of the campaign. When you look back at previous GP Challenge finals, there is a question that needs answering The GP Challenge in 2012 had 5 riders finish on 10 points behind KK on 11. These were 2 Matej Zagar 1 3 3 2 1 = 10 3 Niels Kristian Iversen 3 2 2 2 1 = 10 4 Ales Dryml 1 2 2 3 2 = 10 5 Leon Madsen 1 3 1 2 3 = 10 6 Troy Batchelor 3 3 0 3 1 = 10 Heat wins were NOT taken into account and if they were, Troy Batchelor and Leon Madsen would have qualified instead of Iversen and Zagar after run offs In 2010, Freddie, Kolodiej and Zetterstrom finised on 11 points behind Artem Laguta and Lindback on 12. 3 Fredrik Lindgren 3 3 2 1 2 = 11 4 Janusz Kolodziej 3 3 3 2 0 = 11 5 Magnus Zetterstroem 2 3 0 3 3 = 11 Had they have gone on heat wins, Janusz Kolodiej would have qualified ahead of Zorro and Freddie 5th and not had a run off. If Smolinski IS to take the third qualifying position due to Iversen finishing Top 8 ..... Why did he not have a run off with Chris Harris as has been done in previous years for the last qualifying place ?
  25. TOP EIGHT .... any order Tai Woffinden Emil Sayfutdinov Jarek Hampel Nicki Pedersen Neils K Iversen Matej Zagar Greg Hancock Darcy Ward QUALIFIERS Krzysztof Kasprzak Kenneth Bjerre Martin Smolinski WILD CARDS Chris Holder Fredrik Lindgren Tomasz Gollob and/or Patryk Dudek then Michael Jepsen Jensen or Martin Vaculik if a place is available (ie Gollob)
