  1. What is a Berwick fan querying another team's crowds for? Plymouth and Berwick could both make the Top 6, bit of a turnaround from last year that is for sure!
  2. Berwick's team is sure not cheap, though we don't have Fisher or Barker we have strength in depth. I'd say there is more chance of Berwick doing a "Newport" than Plymouth. I am sure John and his chums would happily accept the Devils turnout on a regular occurance.
  3. Unlike Newport Plymouth get more than 300-400 per home match possibly this season 4x that. Ben Barker's interview was very intresting on Tuesday night, his thoughts on Fisher will certainly make Heat 13 and 15 intresting. Personally I think they will be top riders this season and the pairing will be dynamite!
  4. PL CHAMPIONS: Somerset FOURS WINNERS: Berwick PAIRS WINNERS: Plymouth TOP OF PL AVERAGES: Charlie Gjedde, Ben Barker, Ryan Fisher, at a push I'd say our "mate" Charlie! BEST NEWCOMER: Rohan Tungate MOST POINTS ADDED TO STARTING AVERAGE: Alex Edberg WOODEN SPOON TEAM IN PL: Glasgow
  5. Kenni Larsen didn't have an El place until very late last year, he was around a similar average to Fisher. I'd say they both were class acts in 2010 (Larsen that is. No1's ask for top money because they deserve it. James Wright probably was cheaper than Fisher but tell me the last time when Ryan Fisher scored 0 at Ashfield, or 3 at Berwick ... get my drift. Fisher isn't everyone's cup of tea but we need him in the PL, its as simple as that
  6. Fish is a class act at this level not sure why he hasn't got a place in the EL! If you would rather have Kristiansen, Franchetti or Smart in your team or pay to watch them against your home team Workington? Or are one of those supporters who wants the meeting over by Heat 9? British Speedway needs as many 110% commited Speedway riders and Fisher though an ex Monarch is one of those!
  7. Excellent signing, great to have Ryam Fisher back in the PL
  8. Surely Fisher is chomping at the bit for the regular action?
  9. I thought Plymouth's team was confirmed last week??
  10. Struggling? with an average gate of 1.5k-2k give me a break? If he is losing money with those sort of numbers through the turnstiles, how much are "properly run" Speedway clubs losing? I have found a few things that have been printed in the Star untrue and I wouldn't trust a word Bowden says. He said at the final meeting vs Edinburgh, "We will be back bigger better and stronger next year" and are they? which one is it Mike?
  11. Is Bowden putting together these poor teams together purposely? minimal points scoring and relying on the big crowds at the SBA. Plymouth is one of the very fewv enues left in the UK wkere Speedway is still very well attended. Hopefully he sells, his buisness intrest is not to make Plymouth Speedway a professional club but to line his own fat pocket. On the bright Barker Ashworth and hopefully will carry the fight, unsure about the other 4 (personally)
  12. Have Boxall Ashworth and Holder signed though? still nothing on the BSPA site
  13. I think its gone really fast to be honest, only 2 months to go now I'd be itching to see Ipswich paticularly your reserve pairing
  14. Ipswich looking very good at this stage. Would think Doolan will average about 8.5 this year! Don't think you will see a big hitter at Foxhall, Louis has a good buisness model down there, as I see it
  15. Unlikely Silver will bring in a big no 1. I sense another cost effective septet for the Rockets
  16. Anyone got an update on David Ruud, terrible looking crash yesterday
  17. As long as Berwick win eh that will do for some! Rye barely had a team left! Forgot to add it was a most mature performance by Tyson Nelson last night, different rider to the one I saw at Ashfield not long back
  18. As many have mentioned already the final score was of no importance. Managed to see Edberg for the 1st time and what a trier he truly is. Brundle was lucky because I dread to think we he'd have ended up had he went airbourne. Personally I thought the match should have been abandoned with effect from that smash. Not a track man but the riders were having difficulty with it all night. What happened to that surface we had in 2009? Get well soon Alex!
