  1. Didn’t see this result. I think wells is finished! Not sure what is going on with cookie? Pretty mediocre at stmp last week.
  2. Or Friday night. But I guess it is no skin off the clubs back, if it isn’t at their home track.
  3. I think he has potential. In my limited experience of the EWR, it does seem to be a tough track to find 100% consistency on for the home riders. Palin for e.g looked pretty average compared to last week meanwhile Jorgensen looked really on it this week. Bit more stop/start last night as opposed to seven days previous. Newcastle I thought tried hard and there were some good races. I guess if they make it to tapes in 2022, this season will be seen as success, as will all clubs. Barker will make a difference but he isn’t the rider he was just under 10 years ago. Robin
  4. Enjoyed tonight at the EWR. 15 heats done in just over 75 minutes. Half a dozen or so good heats and a fairly close score line throughout. Jordan Palin looks a bit special though.
  5. Probably wouldn't have batted an eyelid, had the boot been on the other foot. Can't disagree with any of that. Berwick will struggle with the current seven. However it is probably a economically viable side and will keep the club afloat.
  6. Another excellent podcast alongside the others released previously.
  7. Laguta can certainly match Doyle, Lindgren and Janowski. Bar one naff year at Torun, he is usually around the 8.5 mark most years. His downfall is on the continent out with Poland and his homeland. Wrong bike set-up coupled with episodes of erratic riding usually penalises his final points score. Bit of a gulf though compared to his brother, BZ, Emil and Madsen once he fully recovers from injury. Would like to see him reach the GP before he retires.
  8. You need to turn your TV off. I think it is good that the sport is trying to stage meetings. As the winter begins to loom over us.
  9. Depends if there is a second spike. My favourite GP Chris Whitty has said, "They will not hesitate to re introduce some of the lockdown proceedures used this summer." This was said in relation to the coming changing of season.
  10. So sport won't be back in its entirety, until there is a solution to the current problem?
  11. How long is a piece of string? ______________ Maybe I'm missing something but I can't understand why say Berwick Rangers/Bandits can't restart next weekend? Assuming S/D is implemented; there is ample spare space in Shielfield for 350/800 fans for the latter? I suspect promoters and fans laterally would flock back in their hundreds. What crazy times! Watch as much reality TV(in whichever form), gamble and go out and get drunk. But no live sport or going to a local health club. You would think they were trying to lower our immune systems. lolz!
  12. I can't see there being competitive action this year in the UK Col. We live in a time where statistics and facts have been confined to the skip. Pretty confident that all singular sporting entities, have NO say in the matter. If they did I am sure clubs would do EVERYTHING to meet the 'autocratic' guidance. P.S Card only!
  13. And thank you for your time today BWitcher and onto the next question.
  14. Don't know what clubs can actually update their support on? They have no power nor do the sports governing body. Clubs do as they are told - irrespective of size or sport.
  15. I agree, always thought Leon Madsen comes across very well in interviews. It helps he is also an excellent rider and an inevitable world champion.
  16. Quick question! Where has all the money come from in Czestochowa? Almost 10 years ago 'the green lions' tracked - Nermark and the inexperienced Grigorij and Artem Laguta. Spent big on Emil and then relegation sadly followed a few years later. Present day - Sees Czestochowa track 3 world class riders. Granted their attendances look to have improved in conjunction with lucrative TV contracts and sponsorship. Madsen, Doyle and Lindgren won't be cheap. Great racetrack and stadium, would like to see Wlokinarz win a title, especially if that stops Leszno walking it (again) zzzzzzzzzz.
  17. Be good when it returns. It gives people men (primarily), an escape from reality.
  18. As we pace through a Speedway free summer (so far) in Great Britain. Are fans missing their weekly/fortnightly fix of methanol badly? Clubs have certainly done their bit, taking a nostalgic look down memory lane. Poland also started at the weekend. Will the absence of Speedway make the heart grow fonder / Or conversely will it allow people to think twice about attending the Sport in the UK? Money is going to be tighter and some people will lose/have lost their jobs due to the deadly virus. I would think Speedway will also need to implement things to meet Health and Safety guidelines, as football is doing now to keep all supporters safe from the deadly virus. We humans are very adaptive beings. I am sure whatever rules are 'enforced', supporters will return with reinvigorated desire to watch Speedway.
