  1. I heard last night from a trusted source both turnstiles will be open for the Pre Season practice.. Hope this is the case I'm hoping to bring a few guys up from down south....
  2. Kozza I think would have been around an 8 point average this season While probably never a No1, he shot himself in the foot dropping it in scoring posistions Maybe an opportunity to bring in a potential No1, otherwise Redcar will struggle this year I think
  3. Polish season not far away not long until they start with challenge matches against the lower tier teams. It’s been a long winter but looking through the teams I think 2014 promises to be exciting and enthralling. Torun - I believe start with a 8 point penalty? Either way I still expect Unibax to make the Top 4. Darcy Ward will shoot too stardom this year Chris Holder – Coming back from injury but still expect him to be a pillar in the Torun side Gollob – Knowing Tomasz Gollob he will probably have another great season but the fact he is not getting any younger and continuing niggles – Injuries, will this be his last? Sayfutdinov and Miedlinski will both hit 8 point averages it is an amazing Top 5 with another match- winner in the form of Pawel Predepeldski from reserve. Best team in the league for me Zielona Gora – as always track a quality side I will be interested to see how AJ fares he was the top man but had a rotten GP campaign. Seemed to be riding better at the end of the season probably a rider who will never win the World Championship, he was and still could be a great entertainer. Add to that possibly Jarek Hampel it would be a travesty if he didn’t that being said he is the best domestic rider in the World? If he isn’t he wont be far off. Rarely does he have an off day don’t expect any different this campaign. Dudek and Protasavicw will provide great back up with consistant scoring week in week out. I would assume Falabuz will utilise Aleksandr Loktaev in the middle order. I was surprised he was sent on Loan to Polonia last season however he had some big scores. He’s a talented lad and I think he will do well for Zielona Gora. Jensen and Strezlec are two handy reserves to have. The Polish lad was solid in the U21 meeting while Mikkel Bech is a potentially a classy rider with big scoring potential. Unia Leszno – Have built on last years solid side by adding Nicki Pederson Nicki Pederson – Great signing nothing else to say there really I was disappointed with Prez Pawlicki last season I have to say, however riding in the UK on tracks like Belle Vue and Eastbourne might help him. Ballinski and Zengota are a little bit lightweight for me. Kenneth Bjerre showed improved form at the back end of the campaign. I feel Leszno’s strength lies with Mikkelson and a potential World Champion in Piotr Pawlicki. Too have those two at reserve particularly the latter is a massive boost. He’s a real racer and I expect Piotr Pawlick to have a great season. Tarnow – Should make the Top 4 Seems as if Greg Hancock has replaced Maciej Janowski? You know what you will get a solid 8 point average from the American Vaculik and Artem Laguta both have improvement in them this campaign. Buzckowski is an interesting signing around Tarnow? Not sure of his scores but he’s a real racer and Tarnow in my humble is a rather one dimensional track. Kolodziej – Surprised he only averaged 7.83 for Tarnow last year, rode well in the play off matches, not the best gater always good value though Wlokiniarz Czestochowa – Darkhorses for the current campaign Gregorz Walasek and Grigorij Laguta I expect to be 8.00+. Micheal Jensen I felt was dissapointing last year. But he could easily give Laguta or Walasek some competition for the Top Lion. Rune Holta is a big scorer at home and will be looking for retribution after the mechanical gremlins of Heat Heat 15 against Torun. Peter Kildermand I hope will get a chance assuming he is paired with The Beast those surges going high and wide in Bend 3 could be rather tastey. With Czaja at reserve I fancy them to do well won’t win the league though. Betard Wroclaw – Will do enough to survive Maltowski and Dolny but the former has been around for a bit. I think he could have a good season. Maciej Janowski back at his former club, can’t see him being a sensation but see him backing up the World Champion on a regular basis Jedrzjak seems to get points at home and Batchelor should score points in the middle order. But really all eyes will be on Tai Woffinden I don’t know where last year came from it was a torpido rise to Speedway glory. Now he is in that esteemed posistion he can just as easily fall back down the pecking order. Tai is a guy who doesn’t lack confidence and I think will stay with Wroclaw for the long haul. Stal Gorzow – Rather top heavy? 3 big hitters in Iverson, Kasprzak and Matej Zagar. Zmarlik’s growth seems to have stagnated slightly Sundstrom and Gapinski wont do much for me. Iverson theoretically will be up with Hampel and Woffinden at the top end of the average chart. Kasprzak will be solid maybe Zagar will kick on from a good season at a rotten Gniezno. Great stadium love the track but not Top 4 for me Lotos Gdansk – Another Gniezno? For me they will go straight back down regularly losing at home especially against Zielona and Torun. Looks like a team of cutaways blokes who didn’t make the cut at previous clubs. Leon Madsen isn’t a No1 or even an 8 point rider. Jonasson good Liga 1 rider but a middle order man at this level along with PK and Lindgren Not much happening at reserve, they will go down at the end of the season.
  4. Sad news for Kozza served the Bandits well
  5. Get used to the delays, I have heard the first four meetings are Shielfield sell outs. Season Tickets sold out... These will be the days to remember in years to come
  6. aspegren and alden discarded by Berwick, says it all really....
  7. Never been fully convinced by Ty Proctor, best of what was left I would say but 8 point average I reckon. Doyle would have hit 10
  8. I have been viewing the Visa situation with close interest. As per usual it doesn't seem clear rather a dark shade of grey. I certainly don't claim to know the rules but how come some Austrailians are affected and others don't seem to be? Why are certain clubs announcing riders and in Doyle's case nothing on the Somerset website even putting supporters in the picture. Why don't we have somebody who can deal with the applications? Aussies although our big rivals have served British Speedway rather well and hopefully will continue too. Any more episodes like this and they may seek other meetings in Poland, Germany etc At Berwick for example I will be very suprised if Wethers and Doolan miss any matches, Kus and Bellego on the other hand... to be continued To summarise as well as these guys losing big income that may force them to retire. The paying fan who actually knows about the Sport and seeing the best product, gets seen off. Sorry but when Somerset come knocking I don't really want to see a 7 point man replacing a 10 point man. It may be an easier win for the home team but overall IT IS NOT giving fans value for money. I don't expect clubs should lower admission costs as a result why should they? It isn't there fault but we've got Edinburgh on the case. Are they going to break there backs trying to get a soloution for other clubs when Sam Masters was refused entry last campaign? Speedway in this country shoots itself in the foot again...
  9. Swindon must have been laughing when our mob offered big bucks for Super Seb Bit gutted about Nicki Barrett but I think Steen should replace him with an 8 point average...
  10. Anton Rosen is a cracking rider expect him to be an 8 point rider from No1
  11. There were at least 2 potential World Champions who rode in the U21 meeting last August. Patryk Dudek Piotr Pawlicki, Lebedevs would bring out the best in most tracks, on any given surface. I don't think the racing will change too much at Berwick like Glasgow much of a muchness with the odd good race or two most meetings. Good team has been signed as I say Steen Jensen will make the difference from reserve. Heard from a trusted source certain elements of our support are dissapointed we haven't retained our No1 Seb Alden <abusive remarks removed>
  12. I would line up 1. Kevin Doolan 2. David Bellego 3. Matt Wethers 4. Claus Vissing 5. Matej Kus 6. Steen Jensen 7. Liam Carr
  13. Sheffield needed a shake up and fair play to the promotion It might be a raving success I happen to think Roynon is a gamble However we need a strong powerful Sheffield side Neil Machin was not providing this and I don't think he and his staff were going to at any point in the near future Good luck Screeny
  14. I think we will score more points this season, 6 guys who should all keep there averages hopefully more
  15. Good luck to Screeny I think this is a great move by Sheffield
  16. He scored very well at Opole beating Rempala and Burza a few times (Opole is a great track. But this guy is starting from reserve, he has seen a lot of the tracks before and has had a bit of EL experience with Eastbourne and is an big track rider with IOW. Not a world beater.. but this guy should pile the points in from reserve. I've seen him beat big names on Youtube his biggest scalp being ex world champion Pederson. To outgate Pederson is a big feat and to be fair Nicki didn't look like getting anywhere near him nor did Sundstrom did 2 seasons when he was pushing on a 8 point ave in the EL. He's had Kenneth Hansen from the back as well. (Who could have have been our No1) what a disaster that would have been. As Scott says it might not be pretty... but this team will compete in pretty much all matches home and away and will destroy weak teams because of our strength in Depth I am willing to put my honourable reputation on the line with these predictions
