  1. As predicted Poole got what they needed from Somerset. What with the gifted 4 points at Lynn and then facing them again with Lambert and Huck injured they have made the most of their chances and deserve 4th place and twoextra meetings. The TR does its stuff again
  2. Agree. What makes people think the so called big names (many of whom won't ride like that over here) will ride here just because there's only two nights? And how much money will they want? What about the riders who depend on the high number of meetings and only ride in Britain. Or are we advocating some sort of super league and others will be force into the championship? 7 home meetings, no interest from me, or the stadium landlords. I say bye bye Jason.
  3. Swindon will choose Poole (strong favourites for 4th) in the semi's, no doubt in my mind.
  4. I think it's highly likely they will get what's required at Somerset. Last time they only lost by 4 and that was without a number 1 (well, they had Garrity who scored zero). Poole's to lose.
  5. I'm no Wolves fan, so don't class me as one of them The 'racing' at Torun I've seen recently, including the GP, was dull, in my view.
  6. I agree, but let's not forget the unjustified cancellations where KL & RH are concerned.
  7. Given the made up call off of the Rye fixture, maybe Lynn are ceding the 4 points to Rye . None of this effing about is any good for the fans who want to book time off work and/or make travel plans. Ridiculous.
  8. The most recent times I've seen Artem, it looks like he'd struggle to pass water. Seems he may be a first or last kind of rider, depending on his starts. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong, for the fans' sake. I also don't think Iversen or Holder deserve a wildcard either but they will have the Danish Champion and the Monster man no doubt.
  9. Ah yes, that was it. Think I might still have it on vhs as well, perhaps I'll take a look.
  10. They wanted Nicholls in the series the first year but BSPA said they'd ban him if he took part (even without missing UK fixtures), so couldn't. The catalyst for him withdrawing from World Cup.
  11. I remember Reading doing a double header at Wolves back in the early 90s, think it was cup and league. It was a good night of racing and each match was different in terms of the entertainment. I enjoyed it.
  12. Think they'd be rivals with Leicester for the spoon.
  13. Disagree, Fricke only scored 5 last time and I expect RR to get more than that, plus the Aces have Bjerre this time. KK is too unpredictable - could be hero or zero. It could be an even bigger BV win
  14. It is, but it doesn't apply to the self-employed. What they have to adhere to is the contract they sign at the start of the season and it will allow for compassionate 'time-off'. I agree, no comparison with Holder and Rathbone has clearly broken the rules by letting him ride in PL rather than at league meetings in the UK.
  15. I've seen loads of Polish meetings - doesn't matter who the riders are they have just as many dull as dishwater meetings as anywhere else. Gdansk on monday was gash. This one finished much earlier than I remember TV meetings before, which used to go on until 9.30. GPs for me are really slow once it gets to the semi-final stages from a TV perspective but if you're there it's fine.
  16. Always gives 100% no matter what the meeting is or who for, so I don't think Rye will have come into it. Lynch's interview at the end was almost incomprehensible - he may be a nice fella but a team manager needs to be astute as that can gain points - don't think Racers & Royals would have left the TR.
  17. Watched this on TV and thought it was a good meeting - all the riders looked to be having a go so no complaints from me. Track looked a joy to ride, very smooth.
  18. Mine: Doncaster Jonsson Andersson Morton Mullett Hunt Schwartz Dream signing: John Cook
  19. Nonsense. Have been there umpteen times, even when the whole track was under water. It drains quickly and the track can be re-laid in 2 hours - oh and no more rain is forecast either.
  20. The lynn track drains very quickly and even if they'd laid the shale it only takes 2 hours to redo. Fine and sunny all day today so the postponement is absolutely nothing to do with the weather. See here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2645456 Presumably you mean well organised speedway in the UK where integrity is high and the spectators are put first?
  21. What do you mean gets it wrong? He knows today will be nice and sunny all day. I've been at Lynn after a deluge - with the sun out the track is fine again just a few hours later. Surely everyone can see through this 'postponement'. Look what happened to Belle Vue a few years ago - and they had better reasons to cancel in my view. Can't really see the BSPA taking action against their chairman but Rye can feel rightly aggrieved.
