  1. Which raises the expectation that all the races are like that and when they go and find out they're not, will they return? Agree with other points.
  2. All those things are great and may have got a lot of people through the door but when they attend and stand out in the cold/wind being 'entertained' by someone on a mic talking drivel or just music for what seems like an eternity balanced against the 15 minutes of actual races, of which two were interesting then most won't come back. It's the entertainment at the track on the night which has to improve - and I don't mean just more races. More interaction, more involvement of fans in the night, interactive social media, rider interaction, play areas/side shows and many other ideas that people have mentioned before.
  3. Landlords will want the same money for the year, so less meetings means the rent for each one will be higher. Fanbase will be smaller because people will get out of the habit of going if they're less frequent. Can't make one as you're on holiday and the next one is not for a month it's easy to think oh well I won't bother as you've probably found an alternative routine/thing to do.
  4. No. Fanbase would get smaller, rents would increase and stadium owners even more likely to kick-out speedway tenants.
  5. Agreed, he found his level a few years ago, hasn't got the technical style to improve much, said this when he was at Ipswich.
  6. Although he was over-sliding out of the bends, being a bit of road block for two behind him in one race off bend 2. He will undoubtedly improve this as time moves on, certainly has the right attitude. Also thought this was quite a good meeting, Ace P impressed me with his racing brain when ahead/passing/trying to and what a great rider from Trigger when re-passing and holding off Rushen. Only a few of them looked out of their depth.
  7. And it was as pointless as it can be given the guaranteed result -can't understand why people would bother watching.
  8. Who will notify them of the typo? (their final position statement was issued on 26th October 2025🤣)
  9. So there's a council meeting to discuss the 850 houses application on 21st October, by the planning and environmental protection committee, to which people are allowed to attend. Is this an important one for objectors? It said they'll summarise mine and other objections.
  10. Agreed. Speedway is quiet compared to the stocks, which also go on for hours, not 15 minutes and both less noisy than the football😃
  11. I've also asked Polish people that I've encountered either here or on holiday and whilst a small sample, the five people I've asked have also not heard of it.😒
  12. Your view does not agree with the FIM. The world champs has never been about the best riders & is no different to athletics in that regard. They are interested in growing the business and selling the events.
  13. I agree regarding interpretation. I've always been concerned with the lack of any physical kerb at King's Lynn - I remember being on the centre when racing was taking place and feeling distinctly vulnerable to a bike ploughing into me off the second bend at full pelt. I'm surprised no-one has ever raised that as a H&S issue!
  14. Although that only leaves 7 places for new challengers as currently some of the current GP riders opt out of the qualifiers and risk not getting back in, which gives more spots in the challenge meeting for new triers. Your system gives existing GP riders a backstop which I'm not so keen on.
  15. Compared to the FIM regs: "If a rider crosses the white inside line fully with both wheels or leaves the circuit, they are adjudged to have retired from the race – unless they left the track to take essential avoiding action (e.g. to avoid a fallen rider)." I think the interpretation of the 'crosses the inner edge of the track' will be the same as 'crosses the white line fully with both wheels' In any case, the ref wasn't interested!
  16. Both wheels have to be wholly over the line - and even then if they're doing that to avoid a collision it's ok - which he wasn't but Emil could have taken that route to avoid the almost stationary Leicester rider on bend 3/4.
  17. Yeah, definitely not to the promoters and FIM who decided them, or him but just everyone else 😁
  18. That doesn't matter at all. As a commentator he and Allen simply gave their opinion that they thought the award decision was wrong, not that it was against the rules. I also thought it was too early.
  19. That was a pretty good meeting, the Leicester track provides good opportunity for racing and of course the tension was visible. I expected Brennan in heat 15.
  20. OK,so Woffinden being picked is surprising to some but at least it fits the definition of wildcard, rather than just the next three after the top 7.
  21. Agree is irrelevant, it's talent and nerve that counts. I've seen enough riders to spot who's got it and who hasn't, nothing dismissive about that.
  22. Surprised it's taken you so long, witches fans knew that after the spell he had at Foxhall a few years ago.
