Depends if you keep talking sense or not! Now some on here would be calling you a bottom-licker in the past for supporting a rider. I know I've certainly had it. But it's good to see you supporting riders and the club instead of looking to find fault. It's also sparked off a bit of decent discussion. Kus, in my opinion, has started to step up to the mark, Wolbert is an example of how finely balanced it can be. If Matej becomes the next Adrian or Michal, the Shielfield is going to be a very happy place. On recent meetings I don't see any reason why that can't happen either.

I'll admit that I was unsure due to his previous inconsistency, but I agree his last few meetings have been very strong. I remember the potential he showed when he first came to the UK, maybe this will be his year. I'm very quickly becoming converted!

I noticed that in the recent Bandits' newsletter. Great to see Matej showing such commitment to the club. He looks to be very happy and brimming with confidence. All the critics and unsure folk have been pleasantly surprised in recent weeks. I have to admit, I was unsure when we signed him. A real make-or-break season that is looking much more likely to be make rather than break over recent meetings. I get the feeling that his crucial heat 15 battle to win us all 3 points on Saturday could be a real boost.

I can see the point you are making about second rate riders. I don't know what riders get paid, so can't really comment. On cash winning the league, it is probably already the case?

I agree the rilling averages are much better: more accurate if nothing else. To answer what replaces averages, I don't know. I remember thinking the reserves grading was not very good. Just sign any rider? But, then it is who has the most cash wins the league...

Rehearsing today, the more interesting stuff! I'm sure you think the average statistic has a difference meaning in the speedway world compared to the physical world. Still, it is one thing the speedway could do without.

But the average statistic becomes ever more accurate the more data you use (think about how the denominator changes), thus rolling averages must be less susceptible to "inflation". You did indeed, and I think you are correct. If I had the cash, I would definitely back him, but I just don't have the means at the moment.

I wouldn't wish to miss out on some comedy genius! I agree with you - again - which is the real reason I would choose the ignore button for you. It looks like one of the best line-ups Berwick have ever had, especially in such a meaningful meeting. I think it will be absolutely buzzing. Having been unsure of Kus's confidence when we signed him, recent performances have me thinking differently. He's lightening out of the gate, and it will take World Champion material to get past him when he does that at Shielfield. I will put my neck on the line here and predict Matej to go through to the next round. I also note from the Bandit's newsletter that he has chosen to ride for Berwick despite Czech authorities asking him to ride in some European thingy. Maybe he is settling into Berwick ready to fill the void left by Rymel and Makovsky? Maciej Janowski has to be fancied to win.

I agree, it is right to give Liam a good shot at PL, he is popular with the fans too. A bit of patience and continued support will see him develop well. I think he has also had a bit of bad luck with gear?

This might come at a good time for Matej as he's coming enjoying some great form.

Getting your cheapies by posting information from "personal sources" is also not good for reputations. These forums are an interesting social experiment. Those have the info, but are secure enough not to post it; and those who have the info but are insecure enough not to not post it. Still, if it makes you feel important, it maybe isn't doing any harm...

I did say Newcastle's season was over the other week, but it looks to well and truly be the case now. I never thought the changes were good, and certainly seems to be the case... Well done to the Bears, though.

Keep the chin up Tiggers, it wasn't that long ago that we thought we might not have you at all. The PL would be a far lesser place without you. Stick by your club, you've been unlucky with Berge, but a lot can happen yet throughout the season.

Completely agree, I've been uncertain of Kus's ability to perform to his potential, but he looked full of confidence last night, and was crucial to the Bandits getting the vital full points. Jensen is definitely the find of the season. Hi strip across the centre green was a hairy moment! Doolan was looking to be getting into full flow, but his engine blew. No luck at all.

Adam Ellis was superb for the Witches tonight, very solid looking reserve. For The Bandits, Matej Kus really stepped-up. Great performance from him throughout the meeting, and a great battle to get the vital 3rd place in heat 15. A few people have said that confidence is the only thing that has been holding him back, there was certainly bags of it tonight, very encouraging. Steen Machine, what can I say? Absolutely flys when he gates, and never, ever sits back when he doesn't. Very entertaining rider who is going to score heavily for us. Hopefully the two injuries are not too bad.
