  1. Got to be Rico for me. Although I think Nicholls is Britains best rider, he doesnt deserve another wildcard after this years dismal efforts. Harris isnt good enough, Woffinden isn't good enough yet. He will be but needs a few more seasons, Kennett and Bridger aren't good enugh. Richardson is performing better than ever, and apart from his last season he actually did quite well in the G.P's.
  2. Gustafsson - born 25/05/1990 Woffinden - born 10/08/1990 I like Gustafsson, but to say we dont have an equivalent, when Woffinden is performing much better than him is a pretty blinkered view
  3. I've had him at 14-1 e/w. Thought he was by far the best value available
  4. I was looking forward to the meeting at the start of the season, but the line-up and the price of tickets just doesnt inspire me to go i'm afraid. Especially this close to payday My prediction is Lindgren Holder Davidsson With Harris and Hampel to just miss out
  5. Wouldnt imagine so. Clean Cut Sports are filming it exclusively i think. No doubt Ballinger will be able to confirm this.
  6. Out - 7 Hans Andersen In - 4 Greg Hancock cheers pete Also can I have Greg as my captain at Cardiff please? (same as earlier post but in correct format)
  7. AJ's practice before the Danish Grand Prix was really short this time. Andreas decided to withdraw after three series of rides due to sickness. I have got a fever - says AJ - and I'm feeling really, really bad. It's probably some kind of flu. I have a sore throat and some problems with my ears. It has a bad influence on my sense of balance. My rides today might have looked like I was drunk! In this situation Mirek and Sebastian could only pack the stuff while AJ was resting in the van. The team's manager, Dawid, came to the Parken stadium late because his flight from Bydgoszcz was delayed due to bad weather conditions. The weather in Denmark is rainy and unless Parken had a roof, tomorrow's meeting would be rained off probably... The above was taken from AJ's website. Hope he's felling better tonight and is able to ride
  8. Nicholls as Capt...... Oh no wait I'll stick with Crump as captain please
  9. I think it was wrong for Nicholls, although I can understand why he did it to a degree. Scott has always been a slow starter in the seasons, and has missed 10(ish) meetings by not having a Elite League team. The elite league is also the league he performs best in and therefore he will not have the extra cnonfidence this would bring. Chris26 as for your post, you must be joking. Scott is most certainly not finished, yes he's started poorly (possibly worse than ever) but I have no doubt he will pick up. As for him not deserving the british captaincy. Why not? He has been one of the best brits in the last few years, and I rate him as one of the best team-men and Captains I have ever seen. In Scotts 3 years as Captain at Coventry we won 2 leagues and 2 knockout cups, and a lot of it was down to Scotts captaincy. Who do you suggest would do a better job?
  10. More likely to be the other way round in my opinion. Scott will come good. I have no doubts about it, whether he has already left himself too much to do to get in the top 8 I'm not sure. But he will definately improve and be challenging in semis and finals by the end of the season
  11. Scott is always a slow slow starter, which in my opinion has not been helped this season by Scott dropping the EL. I can understand his reasoning, but to drop the league he was strongest in was a mistake, but I feel he became disillusioned with the EL with the whole Bees team selection saga last year. Scoots G.P season last year didnt really kick off until Cardiff, and I fully expect that could be the case this year as well. I agree with Andy M's post that it could well be a mental thing, as we've all seen Scotty can be amongst the top performers in the G.P. He has made several finals, which shows he has the talent, but never won one, which shows the mental issue could possibly be what is hampering him. Scott, when on top form, is by far Englands best rider, and I for one hope this issue can be sorted, as it was not nice to see him struggling on Saturday
  12. Blimey, this is a lot more professional than the tin pot outfit that ran it last year! Good work Pete!
  13. bet 365, sky bet, laddies, willy hills, coral. The list goes on. Odds dont normally appear until thursdayish though
  14. My pre meeting entertainment will be the all-inclusive in my hotel in Egypt. First time I'm missing Cardiff this year, can't say I'm that fussed either
  15. Cheers for taking it on Pete, and I shall indeed enter with a team as follows 2 Jason CRUMP AUSTRALIA $50,000 5 Hans ANDERSEN DENMARK $45,000 7 Andreas JONSSON SWEDEN $35,000 9 Scott NICHOLLS GREAT BRITAIN $35,000 15 Emil SAYFUTDINOV RUSSIA $25,000
  16. I wont have the time to run this this year unfortunately. Must say I didnt really expect as many people to join when I started it! So If Ballinger wants to run it then feel free Pete. Just remember to back everything up as I didnt and havent had time to work out the final standings from last year!
  17. The computer at home has finally been fixed, i have lost all the details, but will be able to check teams on this tread and through pm's so will hopefully be able to work out the results some time soon
