  3. My 1st visit to Owlerton post COVID. Can I just show email my ticket on my phone or do I have to print it out as a hard copy ?
  4. Ipswich won the toss and took gates 1,2,3 & 4
  5. I decided not to bother , didn't take the risk. Swedish Speedway on Premier Sport instead. Not quite the same as attending
  6. I see all prepaid tickets have been sold. I understand you can pay on the gate. Does anyone know how many of those are avilable ? I ask only because I can't get out of work until 6pm. I shall be travelling from Bradford and won't most probably get there until 7pm. Obviously dont want an unncessary journey. Any help greatly appreciated
  7. Usual twaddle , they never make it easy for themselves
  8. Any weather update from local folk, would be greatly appreciated It would be wonderful to have GB Speedway back
  9. RIP John 55 Years young, awful
  10. This is speedway. Rules are made up on the hoof if it's deemed
  11. I'm not complaining honestly , but we've gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. This weeks posted through my letter box at 4.40AM this morning.
  12. FYI 27th March edition, just this moment delivered by the Royal Mail 3rd April edition was hand delivered at 9am this morning. Plenty now to catch up on
  13. Similar here. Haven't received last weeks copy. Emailed Monday to the office, spoke like most here to a very apolgetic chap whom advised me they were getting another 200 of last weeks edition reprinted and another copy was being sent that day. Still have neither received last weeks copy ,or of this weeks edition. Frustrating to say the least. I do appreciate that I may have been offered a digital option, but I'm old school and the joy of actually reading my own physical edition of the SS is much more appealing. Do hope things improve markedly , rather quickly
  14. Still not received this week edition, most frustrating
  15. It doesn't really matter where tracks are placed in the UK, the sport is very much on the decline. You can count on One hand (and maybe lose a digit or two) those that get half sizeable attendances on the whole. The fact that speedway promoters don't even produce attendance figures really is all you need to know. Potentially those that actually make a profit maybe less after losing your digit's. I live in Bradford and I'm sure in the short term it would be attended quiet well, but long term like most tracks it will struggle to survive, because in my opionon the product only service's a small miche market and that market I am afraid is very much twindling . You can go on about 000's of reasons why patrons don't come through the door and pay an entrance fee (See what I did there !) the mere fact is Speedway is very, very much a minority sport in the UK and very losely professional these days.
