  1. All the things there have been previously posted on the forum, so why should I try and hide them or pretend they never happened? As far as the negativity, that is a general piece of advice - not just for you, because there are others on here who can be pretty negative also. As far as your response to ch958, I am astounded that you consider my post a "rant". It was a simple and non-confrontational post that referred to several previously published comments.
  2. Nobody has been more insulting and personal than you. You are offended by the fact that I "deserted" speedway - even though I didn't. You are offended by the fact I moved to the US to be with the woman I love. You are offended by the fact the SGP provides an internet service for people who can't watch meetings on TV. You admitted - in public - that you don't watch speedway, but you "have it on in the background". When I poke fun at you by reminding people that you "have it on in the background", you are offended, and get insulting. Look, there are things in this world that I don't like, or simply am not interested, but I don't dedicate my life to sharing all my pent up negativity, and lambast all those who don't feel the same way. It is downright insulting for you to claim that fans of modern-day speedway are suffering from "insanity". This world is a depressing enough place as it is, and we don't need people you spreading your negativity about speedway (and don't kid yourself, you are NOT a fan, although you may have been once), other major sports that you refuse to accept, and whatever else you can't tolerate. In my last few years on this planet, I want to focus on things that bring me pleasure (including speedway) without having to deal with nonsense from you trying to convince me otherwise. You may feel that you have the "right" to say whatever you want, but I will remind you that you also have the right to remain silent.
  3. You're one of these people who believe that you have the "right" to say whatever you want, and to air your views whenever you want, aren't you?
  4. I don't understand it either. We had "doubling up" years ago, and nobody complained, yet now, there are those who want to use it as one of the main problems with the sport.
  5. I do appreciate your input. I enjoy a bit of banter, but sometimes - like today - it was a little much. Sorry...
  6. As I've said before. it's so easy to people to blame the rules (which of course, many do), but there are so many bigger issues to blame. Sadly, society has changed, and speedway is trying to keep up with the changes. Trouble is, speedway is pretty unique, and not all the changes are beneficial to the sport as a whole. I always preferred team racing, but with the variety of formats, the sport always remained fresh. The main reason it was so good though, was because we enjoyed watching four blokes wrestling their bikes around a speedway track. The desire to win - plus the fact that competitors are supposedly "entitled" to fame and fortune at something they took up originally for the thrill of it - has had a detrimental effect on so many sports.
  7. I do apologise. I honestly didn't expect him to come back with stuff like this...
  8. Were you up all night thinking of what to say here? Not good during school term...
  9. Well, clearly the only sexual satisfaction you get is from posting such witticisms on the BSF....
  10. When did you see me naked???
  11. You really are a bitter individual, aren't you?
  12. Ooohhh.... It's such a misdeed to fall in love with someone from another country, isn't it?
  13. But he has it on in the background...
  14. Not for another few hours here... Still, you'll be in bed sooner, so you have all those sweet dreams about me!!!
  15. What questions have I been asking you? Okay, that is one... I've just gone back over the last two pages, and the ONLY other question I have asked you is "You don't stop, do you?" I apologise if these two questions have taken up too much of your valuable time; time you could be spending on making more ridiculous claims that speedway is a "pretend sport"...
  16. You don't stop, do you? And you reckon others have too much spare time? You asked questions, and as rhetorical as they may have seemed to you, somebody was able to provide actual - and factual - answers. Answers that didn't coincide with your opinions, but were 100% factual and truthful all the same.
  17. No. It is your opinion that this site is about opinions. Many people come on here looking for factual answers. I can't believe so much time has been spent by you attempting to disprove fact.
  18. That's fine. A response like that totally negates any perceived value your input on this forum may have had...
  19. Yes, 30 minutes was a long time ago - considering you have spent the last 30 minutes trying to deny fact...
  20. He has posted truthful and factual answers, so why do you have a problem within him KNOWING things? You can't just go through life letting your opinions get in the way of reality and fact. Actually, it seems like YOU can...
  21. You have asked a number of direct questions. He has provided a number of direct, factual answers.
  22. When he provides FACTS, he IS right...
  23. Well, I was referring to a couple of posts, not just yours. It is true what you say about the expectations regarding stadiums. It really wasn't that long along that we people were content to stand on grass mounds and crappy concrete steps, with only corrugated iron sheets for cover. As was said, multi-use stadiums are a great idea financially, but there is virtually no way to ensure equal facilities (certainly viewing facilities) for the different sports.
  24. Thing is, when we talk about the Shay in the 60's and 70's, I would think that the speedway attracted a lot more fans than the footy.
