King's Lynn vs Leicester KO Cup 2nd leg 16-05-2018
tellboy replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The meeting wasn't bad at all. When i use to go to many away meetings and Lynn use to normally get hammered,i use to always say the racing was poor etc.I think it was just to try and justify Lynn's usual loss away from home.If i could now re-visit those matches i bet they weren't half as bad as it seemed to me at the time. -

As everyone has different views on different matters you will never get the accurate report you are hoping for.If you want to believe whoever on here that's your choice. But to actually get as accurate report you want i suppose you have to see it for yourself. I thought there was more overtaking last night than what Ianb is saying he's probably a bit upset with how Leicester performed imo.ugh Ht 1 Schlein stalked Lambert the whole race and went through when Lambert lifted. Ht 2 no overtaking but always close between Kerr/Kurtz Ht 3 same Wells/Proctor Ht 5 Schlein was 3rd and during race picked off both Proctor and Jorgensen. Also Newman came a cropper hitting Proctors back wheel. Ht 7 great battle with K.Andersen and Howarth repassing each other. Ht 8 Kerr taking Newman wide to let Auty up the inside, don't know whether that was intentional. Ht 10 Auty up the inside of Howarth bend 3,he seemed to have the knack of doing that last night. Can't remember whether it was ht 11 or 13 when Lambert stalked Schlein for a couple of laps then stormed under him bend 1/2. We all have different opinions that is what i can remember from last night, now i'm getting older i should write notes in the programme. Must admit didn't realise the meeting went on until 21.55pm are they sure on this,i went to the meeting in the bar afterwards had a pint and listened to the riders and was home by 22.30pm.And i done a full lap of the track as they shut all the gates bar the one on bend 4.I normally park outside bend 2 but that gate was shut so i went all the way around to come back again. As well as not remembering everything i ain't as fit as i use to be neither. -
Do you really think Harris scoring 12 has cost you the match.Yes he fell whilst on a 5-1 but c'mon Kennett 1 from 4 is terrible and if he had contributed 3 more points then the result would have been different.
-
Looking at the scores i think Kennett cost you the match not your team manager. He should be doing better especially at a track where he has been good at.

Not a bad meeting again tonight.Good to see K.Andersen enjoy his paid win tonight, then ht 14 not so happy when he had problems with his bike at the start. All 6 Stars contributed well with decent scores. Some good scraps tonight mainly involving Schlein and various Lynn riders. The Lynn management proved they made the right call in the end as regards having Auty for MPT rather than a guest for NKI. Leicester pretty poor in the main.Expected so much more from the Pole having seen him in the World u21's a few years back.He was awesome that night scoring something like 19pts. Even with a full team i don't think Leicester would have beaten Lynn tonight.Lynn tipped as the basement boys seem to have some belief that they are far from that. What has happened to Lambert he seems to going well where ever he is riding atm.Does this fitness regime help with sharpness away from the gate because he has certainly upped his game in that department. Good luck to Lambert and NKI in the GP qualifier in Slangerup on Saturday. -

Still agreed by Leicester?Or did the BSPA say the KO Cup takes priority.Whatever, whether it is league or cup Leicester then agreed to it even before the season had started. -

So just why did Leicester agree to this date pretty much immediately after the the meeting was called off in April.I would say because at that point in time Leicester felt that it was the best time to be able to progress through to the next round. -

But surely it doesn't take much to work out for anybody that the choices for guests are now limited.I'm not the cleverest of people but i could work out for myself that there are only two teams to choose from to get a guest. If Brundle had to answer every comment that is put on social media he would be a very busy man. There is always rumours floating about and i don't think they should have quash every rumour that someone starts. -

This is another small problem with FRN,with most teams riding on a particular night that doesn't give much scope of getting a guest in.Some people don't seem to grasp this though. -

Returning to the doom and gloom though, those awfully smelling toilets between bends one and two.Good job i could hold my breath longer back then -

I had one with Bettsy on it,also a silky type scarf with green tassels on the ends with pictures of the riders on the scarf. -

You mean you never had a race bib what you could buy from the shop.Remember me and my brothers running around in circles with those on thinking we were actually racing. -

Over many of those years speedway didn't really have any competition so everything always seemed rosy. But there were plenty of bent promoters back then, and had there been social media back then people would have had a heyday to what promoters would or wouldn't put on their website -

Last season he was very good around our place, this season not so. Personally i would like to have seen Bewley in for MPT,but who's to say he is available or they just didn't fancy him. He's certainly a rising talent. -

Expected first line if someone differs to you. I'm not happy with riders missing,i want a full team every week. But currently GB is bottom of the speedway list and we will have to build our way back up somehow.Incidentally before the season had started just about everyone was for the FRN,now because it's gone pear shaped for a few meetings people are against it. And no i don't have one way vision as you put it.I honestly didn't know the exact timing of their press releases regarding the teams that's why i put an unsure emoji beside it.And in my honest opinion i still feel the same people would have come out with the negative comments had the team been announced two weeks ago for this match. Sorry for having an opinion that doesn't agree with yours. You sometimes seem to have a problem with me when my opinion is different to yours. -

I'm sure it's not as many as people think. Not sure whether it was announced at the speedway the other week or in the program. It's like only one more for Iversen and Andersen, none for Jorgensen unsure on Toft don't think he had signed then. -

Whilst i agree, there really is only Cook,Fricke and Thorsell that could possibly fill NKI's boots. And that's only if they are willing of course. -

Not sure, but isn't it the usual time they put the info up for the up and coming match. I personally think if they had given the line-ups and spin on it a few weeks back the same people would give the same negative comments. -

Surely that would be Schlein for Bjerre. Not that it would make any difference as R/R for Andersen all the riders can still take his rides. -
That will be the last home match then
