  1. Don't think it's that much different to when Poole practiced before a meeting, just because it was done a few hours earlier does that make it any fairer?I don't know, but at least it looks like we are striving to go in the right direction.
  2. That's better than i thought then.I like that idea.If it's been given the go ahead then the visiting team manager can't really say too much. All the visiting team managers can do,is do the same to Lynn when they are at their tracks.
  3. I thought the hot laps was something to do with the gym bikes which are put out at the top of the steps near the pits on turn 1. Unfortunately Haza the first race still starts at 19:45.
  4. Having just come by the stadium there is still some very large puddles, hopefully by Wednesday they will all be gone with the lovely temperatures we are meant to be getting.
  5. Stay positive,i was only quoting what was on the Workington website. It was obvious the postponements were down to the weather.
  6. Looking forward now to our first meeting. The weather is looking excellent for Wednesday. Will Ty Proctor be available. He couldn't ride for Workington tonight as he is waiting for delivery of the final bit of paperwork to accompany his Visa which has already been approved.Hopefully it will be sorted as we need to really start our season with a full 1-7.Although it should have started a few weeks ago.
  7. Just a quote from Danny King on the BSPA site says it all i think.Hindsight sure is a wonderful thing,it seemed riders were happy to ride beforehand. Leicester captain Danny King said: “We thought the biggest problem beforehand would be the visibility. The track didn’t seem too wet when we walked it, and I don’t think anyone complained about it.
  8. How long did it take Poole to sort their pot holes out?And this was where 4 riders were going at 65mph
  9. I'll await Shovlar's official match report.I'm sure he will come up with something like a great meeting with plenty of passing etc etc. But i prefer what you said as it seems unbiased.
  10. Whilst i was peed off it got called off yesterday it was purely because i could make this meeting. With the shifts i work i can't get to see them all so every one i can make i hate to see postponed. Having biked home from work an hour ago Buster has got this spot on.The weather is abysmal it is damp, actually raining and bloody cold, and with the rain we have had i can't imagine the track being in any fit condition.Think SS is just fishing again,he likes to do that,as long as it keeps him happy. On the plus side i've managed to book 4hrs off work next week so don't have to go in until 10pm.So with the weather set fair hopefully we will get a meeting on.Hopefully get done by about 9.20pm so i can get back to Wisbech for a 10pm start.
  11. Those were the days eh,glad you see the funny side. It's not all doom, gloom and petty squabbles
  12. Can't believe you managed to get these 3 in your shop.Just messing by the way.
  13. I really hope these fixtures are re-arranged when i'm not at work.May sound a bit greedy on my behalf but i miss 4 matches anyway and if these 2 are arranged when i'm at work that's one shy of missing half the season. Bring back Saturday fixtures i say.Oh i forgot Poland rule the weekends
  14. Depends on which forecast you look at.BBC says rain tomorrow morning until 1pm(likely to change). The Met office has it to be dry all day.Think Lynn use the Marham airbase for there forecast don't they?
  15. On the BSPA website too. Bit peed off now, working next week so will miss the Belle Vue meeting. So first meeting will be Poole on the 25th which could end up in a home loss.Don't look a very good start to Lynn's season or mine.
  16. It's rained quite a bit here too.Forecast has changed a little bit again on the BBC but that changes all the time. The met office has the weather as dry today and pretty much dry tomorrow albeit with a little rain in the early hours of Wednesday morning.Still keeping my fingers crossed to get a match this week. Guaranteed it will be lovely next week as i will be working and will miss the match
  17. The weather forecast seems better now than it did a couple of hours ago.Rain looks to be stopping around 8am.So time for Buster to enjoy his breakfast and then has the rest of the day to prepare the track. That is of course if the forecast doesn't change again.
  18. As many fans now can read you like a book. The usual and expected comments from you. Poole must be the unluckiest team in the league to have to face teams at when they are at their strongest at any time in their league campaigns. Funnily enough when Poole have to use R/R or a guest they are weakened. Nice one SS same old bulls**t
  19. I don't think it was postponed just because there was a chance of rain,it probably had more to do with the amount of rain we had in the week leading up to the match.
  20. Yes Manchester does have a lot of Muslims and you were basically saying why would you want to live there because of that, that sounds racist to me.Now you are trying to back track to put it right.Maybe you should think before posting next time so you can't get quoted on before being able to delete your post.
  21. Decision to call off early was correct imo.Just a bit peed that it always seems to happen when i'm not at work. Oh well i will have to watch the footie tonight.Don't know who to support,if only both could go out this round
  22. Hopefully all clubs promotions will now look into the forum as regards future postponements. If they can contact Steve Shovlar he will tell them exactly what the weather will do 48 hrs prior to each and every clubs home matches. He will detail exactly whether any rain will hit any tracks in those 48 hrs.And on this evidence clubs will know 100% whether to postpone or not.So thanks must go to SS for saving speedway a small fortune in the future.
