19/04/18 - Premiership - Swindon v King’s Lynn

Quite happy to get a point, afterall no Rose, and Swindon absolutely demolished the league favourites away last night. RE Lambert,he looked likely for that extra 2 points in ht 4 had his bike not stopped according to the updates. Nice to see Andersen gain his first proper points. Iversen to me is a bit of a worry at the moment. Is he still carrying the injury. -

I'm sure PK will generate enough to the atmosphere anyway with some of his ruthless/reckless moves he tends to make sometimes. -

Shame,as i'm sure the return of Holder would have generated a bit more to the atmosphere. -

Which is good,a bit of needle and controversy is what speedway lacks at the moment. It's a shame it wasn't announced over the tannoy that Belle Vue had protested then that would have got the fans more involved and dare i say a bit more noisy, which in turn creates an atmosphere. For those of us that can remember back 30,40 years ago remember all the needle that went on then, what a good atmosphere we had then too.The two seem to go hand in hand together and it works. Now the promotion must think of something to rile the old Pirates up next week. -

Unsure now,if thats the case and Rose is out we need to find a replacement quickly.Otherwise it's only Proctor and the 2 reserves that can take his rides. -

Going by what Steve has said on the King's Lynn v Belle Vue thread i would be unsure on Rose.Took a couple of falls last night. If he is injured i wouldn't mind seeing a guest booking for the impressive Dan Bewley. -

If you read what Bald Bloke said,he hoped the Stars have had a practice.Nothing to do with the hot laps to which i am sure you are referring. -

Well with all this lovely weather we are having Buster's going to have to give the track a good old soaking. -

Don't think it's that much different to when Poole practiced before a meeting, just because it was done a few hours earlier does that make it any fairer?I don't know, but at least it looks like we are striving to go in the right direction. -

That's better than i thought then.I like that idea.If it's been given the go ahead then the visiting team manager can't really say too much. All the visiting team managers can do,is do the same to Lynn when they are at their tracks. -

I thought the hot laps was something to do with the gym bikes which are put out at the top of the steps near the pits on turn 1. Unfortunately Haza the first race still starts at 19:45. -
That's providing they get paid from Poland

Stay positive,i was only quoting what was on the Workington website. It was obvious the postponements were down to the weather. -

Looking forward now to our first meeting. The weather is looking excellent for Wednesday. Will Ty Proctor be available. He couldn't ride for Workington tonight as he is waiting for delivery of the final bit of paperwork to accompany his Visa which has already been approved.Hopefully it will be sorted as we need to really start our season with a full 1-7.Although it should have started a few weeks ago. -
Just a quote from Danny King on the BSPA site says it all i think.Hindsight sure is a wonderful thing,it seemed riders were happy to ride beforehand. Leicester captain Danny King said: “We thought the biggest problem beforehand would be the visibility. The track didn’t seem too wet when we walked it, and I don’t think anyone complained about it.

How long did it take Poole to sort their pot holes out?And this was where 4 riders were going at 65mph
-
Whilst i was peed off it got called off yesterday it was purely because i could make this meeting. With the shifts i work i can't get to see them all so every one i can make i hate to see postponed. Having biked home from work an hour ago Buster has got this spot on.The weather is abysmal it is damp, actually raining and bloody cold, and with the rain we have had i can't imagine the track being in any fit condition.Think SS is just fishing again,he likes to do that,as long as it keeps him happy. On the plus side i've managed to book 4hrs off work next week so don't have to go in until 10pm.So with the weather set fair hopefully we will get a meeting on.Hopefully get done by about 9.20pm so i can get back to Wisbech for a 10pm start.

I see Drozdz is back riding today.
