Certainly need a very good number 1 now,as close to the points limit we have left which is close to nine(8.81),assuming Lambert is a 3.00.Which he should be as he was in the second round of picks.We have the weakest reserve pairing in the league in my opinion.

You are quite right he does give maximum effort when riding,just a shame he don't give maximum effort to keeping his machinery in tip top condition.Lets hope this year he does both.

I'm not a fan of Bjerre particularly,but to call him rubbish is silly talk.Any bloke that gets on those bikes and can do sub 60 seconds are not rubbish.Whats the quickest you can go around in?.They all have balls of steel and I for take my hat to all riders that dare put a leg over a bike because I certainly wouldn't.

Correct,but then all the talk would be about Lakeside and who they may or may not be getting instead of Blackbird. This is another reason the EL has to go to 1-2 night racing,to stop any double uppers,FTRs having fixtures for 2 clubs on any given night.

I didn't say that Trees,your reading what I meant the wrong way.I was implying if Blackbird quit Lakeside and Kerr was still at Lynn then I agree Lakeside should be able to replace Blackbird on a like for like basis,like any club if their FTRs decide to quit before the season

Yes I would be quite happy for Lakeside to use a non listed rider as long as he is British and to the same standard average wise as Blackbird the rider he would be replacing.I said it earlier in the thread and that includes all teams.

You have a valid point there GRW123 re Kerr to Lakeside.Should they have been able just to grab him? Blackbird calling it a day has put the draft system into a bit of a shambles.Yes I would suspect with Kerr becoming available other teams could have had the option to choose him before Lakeside did.But did any other club get asked the question whether they wanted Kerr,i very much doubt it.Maybe other clubs wouldn't want him,but should still have been consulted. Where do you get the change of race night was to attract a number 1.Buster actually said it was to get ready for 1-2 night racing in the future didn't he. How do you suggest Lynn get an equal standard when having the 17th choice rider as number 1 reserve

I don't think Buster will break any rules.But people will say he has broke the rules if he gets a rider of the same standard as Kerr at reserve.But in my view that is fair,just like if say Auty or Newman say I don't think the EL is for me,to me their clubs should be entitled to replace them with an equal standard rider.People will only look at Buster as not breaking any rule if he has Lambert,Roynon or those standard riders at reserve not matter what is raised and voted on at the BSPA meeting today.

And you could also say why did Lakeside declare a rider from the list who had retired. I like you hope Blackbird doesn't stay retired and indeed does come to Lynn,at least it will make the situation much better.But if he don't is there any rider of the same quality as Kerr/Blackbird who could be added.I don't think there is off the top of my head.

I agree that this has been a bit of a cock up,but why should a team go with a rider ranked 19th as their number 1.Even if Lynn didn't change their race night Lakeside would have been in the same situation.Would people have been moaning then.People seem to be moaning because Lynn have changed their race-night,this didn't have anything to do with Blackbird retiring which ultimately is why we have this problem now. Probably in all fairness the draw would be re-drawn but that would be unlikely to happen as some teams are complete and if they were to get a higher average reserve they may have to drop someone in the 1-5.Also if you have a lesser averaged reserve you may have been able to get a higher average rider in the 1-5.

If that was the case then maybe they should have included another rider into the first picks from the off.Why an earth did the picks go ahead with a rider who wasn't riding included in it,they must have known it would cause problems.

Fair enough on that point,but apparently he was told we maybe riding Thursdays before he signed for Ipswich(unsure).But had Kerr been riding for Lynn then it would have been unfair on Lakeside to lose out because Blackbird decided to quit. At the end of the day their should be 8 1st picks and at present their are only 7 regardless of what night any club ride on.

I was just saying what somebody else said about names being added.I assume as their are only 7 1st picks as Blackbird looks like he has pulled out,and there are 8 teams it would also be unfair on Lynn to have the 9th choice second tier rider as their no1 1st pick.Does that make sense,it does to me but maybe not others.

Good to see Cook getting fixed up in Poland with Lodz.Hopefully he will go up another gear this season,apart from the times he races against Lynn of course

Apparently they maybe adding to the list of FTRs according to someone on another thread.I would assume they will wait to see if anymore names are added and then go from there.I'm pretty sure I have mentioned this before but cant say I am a 100%

And don't you feel that was the correct way to do it.Look at the poor Darcy situation,people were coming out with all sorts of things before all of the facts were known about the situation.How distressing that could be for family and friends hearing what people are coming out with because they heard it on the grapevine.I believe they have done it the correct way.State facts when you know them.

As I have said this is speedway,i don't get upset because I don't get to know the ins and outs of a ducks a**e of what is going on.Do you really need to know everything,as long as we get to know the 1-7 and when the first match is a couple of weeks in advance we should all be alright. You go on other threads and you aren't aware somebody has posted that the reserve list could have more riders put on it in January.Maybe this is the reason nothing has been said about the final reserve plus you cant get the other rider until you know the average of your final reserve.

Is there any information to share?(apart rom the Batchelor thing).Whats the point of putting things on for the shear hell of it.Lets be honest this is speedway not football where things happen on a more regular basis.Problem with social media etc is that people tend to become more nosier nowadays and want to know the ins and outs of everything that goes on.Hmm I wonder what Schlein had for dinner today hopefully Lynn will put that on their website

Instead of saying all posters can single handedly avoid future annoyances by not responding to one person.Wouldn't it be simpler just to ask one person not to respond to the sensible posters on here
