  1. Excellent news that Kings Lynn has got this event again. It was an outstanding success this year. Just checked my work pattern for next year and it's my first day off
  2. If they are being re-assessed before 12 meetings i wouldn't think that team would fit.Unless the team average goes up. I think the reason being,Kerr done 11 matches and would average around 8.
  3. Doing a bit of a road trip for this one, then getting back for Newport on Sunday. Is the any cashpoint machines near the stadium anyone know?
  4. Personally i thought the meeting was poor. The only thing that kept me interested was having a few pence placed on the winner of each race, and for Sweden to win the meeting with skybet.
  5. Have you ever thought promoters don't want to come up to the so called elite just to lose money week after week. And it's not just some PL teams that don't want to race in the EL how about Hampel,Gollob,Crump,Holta,Pedersen,Jonsson,Zetterstrom,Hancock and Sayfutdinov these are all in the top 15 in the world right now.If the Elite league is the place to be surely these riders would be there.
  6. Are you just saying speedway should cost the same in all countries or generally everthing.Because the cost of living is different in all countries. You can go to some countries and it will be cheaper to live, and you can go to others and it will work out dearer to live.
  7. Charges(roughly)i think are for the race-off cheapest adult £17 dearest adult £36.50 kids £8 Final cheapest adult £28 dearest adult £50.50 kids £8 I worked these from the prices given on the speedway gp website and at 8.9DKK to the Pound.
  8. Most of them are already here earning our wages. You only have to visit East Anglia and you will see. This is why they can afford the British GP and more. As i said earlier i have a Polish friend from work he went to the GP at the Millenium and his friends went with him.He also met up with some of his Polish friends there and they come from Glasgow. So i would say most of the Poles you would see at these events are actually living here and earning the wages we do.
  9. Can't really compare it on a like for like basis if they are held in two different countries.Salaries etc are completely different. As i said earlier as they earn alot less in Poland £5 works out alot to the Polish people. And as the majority of people would be from Poland they had to do the costs accordingly.
  10. Your point being? Their stadiums will be better as they have major crowds over there as it is their main sport. As i said there wages are alot lower to ours,so prices for events will be cheaper.I have a friend who i work with he is from Poland(and also a speedway fan).He seems to think Poland is as dear as Britain when you take the difference of wages into account.
  11. I thought it was reasonably priced tonight.Got my tickets at the end of June costing £15 for an adult and £5 for a child. Is this the same as Birmingham charge for a Premier League match. But tonight you get 10 extra races. As for the Poles charging alot less, they have to as the salaries over there are nowhere near as good as ours. This is why there are so many Poles over here earning a living.
  12. Are you sure that isn't for the pair.I thought the dearest seats were only £70-£80.Not that i would pay that much anyway £40 ones were what i went for.
  13. Hope Darcy isn't to hung over after winning the world u21,oh i forgot he is to young to drink. Lets hope he makes it a double with the golden helmet as well.
  14. Good luck to Tom and Darcy. Be great to see Tom turn back the clock(1996)and do it all again.
  15. Unlucky team GB.A great effort from the team tonight. Why do so many people look at the negatives instead of applauding the positives.
  16. I agree i think Nicholls would probably score more than say Bridger, but how many points would the others drop just with the tension created.
  17. No doubt there will be a set time for the team to be announced to the correct authorities. Football i assume you are saying as a more professional sport but they don't have to confirm there team until an hour before kick-off.
  18. Blimey thats a big price difference between sitting and standing. I guess my work mate must stand.
  19. About£4:50-£5 according to someone i work with. When he goes back home he goes to watch his home team Wroclaw.
  20. Don't forget the Poles earn lots less in their country, that's why they are all over here
  21. Give it a rest will you.Ever since Rossiter didn't get the job you pull everything down about GB and the management. They rode their socks off tonight and with no world beaters in our team they did the country proud with their never say die attitude. We ain't going to win anything yet,but with experience being gained with these meetings maybe in a few years time we will be pushing for something.
