  1. Think you misunderstand my point. With Lambert at reserve we have the advantage that all the others don't have. If Bewley is at reserve we are in the same boat as all those others. If we were allowed an injury replacement for Day 2 (no idea if we are or not), then that is were I would have Bewley out there as. Once we picked up an injury it is game over in terms of Day 2 so I would just then ride Bewley in all 6 rides tonight. As for who I'd have gone for, probably Lawson or King as they are the best in the Prem at the minute (if we were allowed to).
  2. Having watched last night the really annoying thing is that it is now obvious that Cook, for whatever reason, is able to be quick enough to be competitive around there. The fact he was still quick enough with an injured hand to be competitive tells us that. Not only does that mean we could have potentially won with Woffinden but we would certainly have been competitive for a top 3 spot with Cook and Lambert if Cook hadn't carted straight into him. Then, once you are in the semi-final, anything could happen. As a result, anyone that suggests we should have picked Bewley is just wrong. We had a chance to game the system with Cook on a track he is good at and being able to track our best two riders in all heats and have a chance of winning the thing so it would be frankly mismanagement to not do so. This is not a suggestion that Harris was necessarily the right guy, but the fact that until we no longer can, Lambert HAS to be the U-21 rider. Therefore we would have needed to pick an over-21 rider at number two.
  3. In which case there is no point in taking him anyway as all he would be doing is sitting in the Pits watching Lambert & Cook ride.
  4. Feel really sorry for Timo Lahti missing out because of the wildcard rule.
  5. Lambert surely has a chance of top 8 as well. Can't see a situation where he doesn't race almost all, if not all, of the GP's (barring him getting injured himself that is)
  6. However, even under the old system, Lambert would have been at these GP's as the backup having just missed out in the GP Challenge last year.
  7. Looking into doing this. Any tips and just as importantly, any ideas when the tickets go on sale?
  8. Vaculik, on the form he showed when fully fit, would've easily finished top 8. Zagar, fair enough average. Think the Danes refuse to put Madsen in the qualifiers , so it's hardly his fault he wasn't in them.
  9. There's no stupid rules like double points as it's the final round is there?
  10. I'll even do the order: 1) Moore Park Speedway, Christchurch - Near Christchurch Airport and named after Ronnie Moore 2) Sydney (preferably Stadium Australia) - In NSW, the birthplace of Speedway. Can get a direct flight from Christchurch (Possibly have NZ on ANZAC day [Thursday] and AUS on Saturday) 3) Olympic Stadium, Warsaw - Big Stadium GP as Curtainraiser to the European Season 4) Prague - Deserve to keep one as they have done it for a long time 5) Daugapils 6) Teterow, 7) Manchester 8) Cardiff - Back to back weeks make it a FESTIVAL OF SPEEDWAY week in the UK, with big individuals at different tracks throughout the week - SPEEDWAY WORLD CUP/SON (Both bi-annual) 9) Wroclaw - Mainly because the city is amazing 10) Krsko - See Prague 11) Gothenburg - Need a Stadium GP in Scandinavia 12) Terenzano 13) Horsens - Better track than Vojens 14) Torun - Biggest Speedway specialist stadium in the world.
  11. I don't think so. Don't think we'll have one for some time with no Welsh clubs at all.
  12. To be fair, it's progressive either way. Mind you, a really progressive thing would be to give the rights away to ITV4 or BBC Red Button for production costs only.... ....Flying Pigs Alert
  13. Saw Glasgow tweeted that after I had posted potential teams. That would marry up with my thought that this is a joint venture between the new 'Team GB' ownership & Glasgow as an experiment for future Tests. Denmark use 6-rider teams and might be easier for the likes of Sweden to come over with 6-man rather than 7-man teams. As for Schlein,
  14. Where? I remember having to have one of the Polish sites that provide updates on constant refresh and jumping around like a blue-bottomed canary at work when Cook finished 4th!
  15. That's the biggest worry of all. My desperation to win the EuroMillions to help grows by the day! (although Newport & Cov would probably come first if it somehow happened!)
