  1. So you would remember what it was like in the early seventies then ?
  2. Did he, silly boy. Hope he rectifies that as well.. Not going well oop there is it..
  3. I'l make it simple for you. Its the track curator who has to work on the track for 7 months of a season. If he cannot be assed to go down and oversee whats going on then he shouldn't be the track curator. Nobody worth there salt will sit back and let a private company get on with something they know little about. Its absolutely shocking, and brand new Stadium, "which alledgedly is the benchmark of british speedway" and they cannot be assed to check on what the contractors are doing. You couldn't make it up. Our old track curator put a track in, in 7 days with assistance to put in the fence poles whats BV's excuss.
  4. People have been saying that for years now. Nothing new there. I know many regulars at poole who used to go every week now pick and choose, because its become to expensive..
  5. Clerk of works overseeing the laying of a speedway track, you couldn't make it up.. Where the hell was Meredith. He's the one who should be overseeing it.
  6. Good post. But don't you mean very un-professional ?
  7. Doesn't mean nish Phil if they cannot get it right and it becomes an ongoing issue.. A bit like Cardiffs track a couple of years ago springs to mind...
  8. Don't be daft, there will be no drop in the crowd at Poole. And if you don't get a big one for the return then there's something wrong..
  9. I don't agree Phil, Meredith should have been there to oversee both. Thats what should have happened, but did it ? As i said the track curator is obliged to be present at both.
  10. Not at all. I have no problem with Rosco being Team GB manager, he can only work with what he has at his disposal whether its Swindon or Team GB.. But if i was a Swindon fan i wouldn't be to pleased with result thou's far. I supose thats contradictory as well. I thought you'd blocked me ...
  11. I asked the same question ages ago and drew a blank. The track curator SHOULD be present to oversee any repairs. And he also should have been present when the base and top was laid. If not, why not.. Just goes to prove what a rush job it was ..
  12. But bends one and two were.. Strange that., my guess is that 3-4 were rushed.
  13. I told you that in last nights meeting thread as you know I don't like to harp on but Uncle Rosco has work to do.. If i was a Swindon fan i wouldn't be happy either..
  14. You did the right thing. Don't let anybody tell you different. Exactly right.
  15. Swindon were poor at Poole as well, they are not as good as they thought they were. Dear old uncle Rosco has work to do...
  16. Maybe, but by now your riders should be a little bit more used to the re-shaped track. Although im really not suprised you beat Swindon..
  17. Well done Leicester tonight, rode well... Bornagainlion, perhaps Sky might have had something to do with that.. Don't you think ?
  18. The only Hilarious person on here is you except your not hilarious, you quite sad. One day you'l stop jumping on every post of mine like an infatuated schoolboy..
  19. Sadly, it seems they are all the same from that part of the world, alledgedly Ippo fans, but spend there whole time slagging Poole off. Problem is, or should i say its not a problem, but we have a bigger fan base than anywhere in the country, so we don't have to beg fans to come and watch us.. Nobody gets bored watching Poole. But you stick to your theories.. Why should the Kildemand saga affect you going to watch Coventry. Smacks as just an excuss.
  20. True though, thats the reason you don't go. There you go. He's gone off to sulk, .
