Begs the question why you packed up then. Surely you do not change a winning formula. If its not broke, you don't fix it. May i ask you why you gave up promoting ?. Because it seems the majority do not have the desire ambition nor interest to put together a side capable of wiinning a league and competing with us, Every club has the same opportunities in the Winter to sign riders, everybody starts at nought. You know Matt, he chucks his net far and wide, thats his job, and he does it very well thats why the clubs very successful. But it doesn't just stop there the whole club has that winning ethic, we don't want to finish second, nobody remembers runners up. Yes sponsorship plays a big part in Speedway, Matt works very hard retain and attract new sponsors, and everybody wants to be associated with a winning club/ team, again thats up to other clubs to do the same. Although you have to give BV there due they pushed us last season, and to be honest, we would love to see other sides be competitive and do the same, but thats there look out, not Poole speedways.

There ain't none. It lack of ambition lack of get up and go lack of interest from other promotions, thats what it boils down to. And lack of interest in looking for riders. I'l bet now, Matt will have half his 2017 team already sorted.

And as Matt rightly said, some of you have made rods for your own backs. You have nobody else to blame but yourselves.

Shame that, isn't it, we look forward to October...

He's right, many promotions have made a rod for there own backs.. Your slow picking this up, it was in the Echo on Wednesday.. A bit like some of the other promotions, a bit slow...

Im not sure i would agree with that. For one, i believe the FTR system has been pretty good and has brought on a few riders. And two, a club like ours is always very strong, so there would be little chance of them moving up. At least with this system they are given a chance, if a top 5 rider under performs.

And the question still stands, how are these lads going to improve if they don't have the chance to ride against better riders ?

So whats the answer, how are these lads going to get on, they are not going to improve if they don't get the opportunity to ride against better riders...

Personally i think Kelvin could end up doing a good job. Would be nice to win, but i wouldn't say its a must win meeting..
