  1. Perhaps time for new management and a fresh approach..
  2. Thanks but we should be fine this year, it just needs to be kept topped up, and Red shale is not cheap.
  3. We used Red shale mate, the problem is much of it goes over and under the fence,. Ideally you would need to give it some decent depth really you would need 50 ton of shale. then keep topping it up throughout the season. to get it out from under the fence you need free staff and people have to work, its also a dog track and the staff work on that.
  4. Thats why if you knock it down to a tenner for the Sky/ BT meeting people will go, people will not pay £17 a throw when its on TV. End of the day the club will still get the payments.
  5. Turn one and two have been completely taken up and will be re- laid, turn 3 is better than it used to be, turn 4 had to much excess dirt on it. you will see a big difference this season.
  6. But they would have got payments from Sky, so they wouldnt have lost a whole lot. Perhaps when Sky/BT are in town the promotion do a tenner for that meeting, dangle the carrot..
  7. Those small amount of promoters should think themselves lucky we have a TV deal and they will get something out of it.
  8. Hi mate, im not really sure, I know Neil will be helping but whether Gerrald or Glyn is helping i really dont know.
  9. So do we, 7 league titles since 0-3 Nah nah nanna nah..
  10. Glyns a decent bloke and will do a good job, as i said, the forcast for today is good, suns out, friday and saturday are also forcast the same. You want to see a nice flat slightly banked bends all cambered to let the rain run off and that will be good. As Alan H said, bends one and two have been torn up and will be re laid, not so much bend two but bend one definately needs doing. And if Bald bloke is right in his assumption then it shouldnt tear up as much, although it will still be the most used part of the track.
  11. I suspect that might be a posibillity, as you say might make tape infringments hard to see. Im not so bothered about tight finishes, as you dont see many of them nowadays..
  12. Your top sentance is what i said, but you do make a valid point there after.
  13. No its not, very hard to keep that section of track rut free, thats probably the most used part of the track. be interesting to see how a longer run to turn one goes.
  14. Ok thats interesting, bend one needed pulling up and re laying but really that area needs to be dolled off when its done so nobody goes on it. Intersting to read startling being moved back 10 metres, makes it a shorter home straight, but a longer run to bend one. I wonder what effect that will have ?
  15. Yep thats him, knows what he's doing.
  16. That will be good mate, but i'l be suprised if much got done today, as you know it hissed down all day you would make more mess than good.
  17. Thats him mate, comes from Birmingham. Decent bloke.
  18. may have been monday and tuesday but i doubt much got done today, weather better tomorrow and friday so im sure Glyn will finish off by then,.
  19. Really, doubt much would have happened today. Tomorrow and friday seem better roll on the summer. Humph.
  20. Yes im sure it will be in time, the diggers and heavy equipment moved in this week, but this weather will hamper there start. You cannot do the work in this weather.. tomorrow and friday look better, thank gawd..
  21. You've been reading the Echo.. I understand where Matt is coming from, Chris needs to get back to his best, but we need a motivator, somebody who's going to let his mechs get on with the job and he roams the pits giving advice and just generally keeping the boys spirits high. As i said in another post both Chris and Neil can play a pivital part in showing the new lads how to ride the poole track properly. I expect them to get in plenty of laps on P&P day..
  22. He's poole at heart mate, but matt wants him to just ride his bike which is understandable.. Josh has been a captain, and we need a motivator, of the others im not sure who's got the right demeanour..
