SCB STATEMENT: KENT v BIRMINGHAM (SEPT 7) Monday, September 8, 2025 ON Monday 8th September the Speedway Control Bureau investigated the reasons why Vinnie Foord did not ride for Kent at their home NDT fixture versus Birmingham on Sunday 7th September when the original fixture that Mr Foord was meant to be riding in on the 7th Workington v Berwick in the Cab Direct Championship had been postponed some 15 hours previously. It was stated that Mr Foord who currently cannot drive himself and is based in Scotland has no means of transport to arrive at Kent in time for the 12pm start time. The SCB Referee at the Kent fixture had been informed that Mr Foord was unavailable for this fixture and having consulted the SCB had at that time had correctly allowed a facility, however on further investigation this should not have been authorised and the score of the guest for Cooper Rushen will be deleted from the meeting result. The meeting result will now be amended to – Kent 39 – Birmingham 35

It seems to have been for weeks now that only I am available on a Saturday night to update nowadays which I would have done tonight but after been treated pathetically by 2 certain individuals on the site who I actually considered as friends before the incident. I've now given up volunteering to update after over 20 years of doing it.

You're right it does but don't sit there all night waiting for it to come on you'll be disappointed If you look on the main home page it shows Berwick Vs Plymouth as the next meeting.

It's not on BSN the next meeting on BSN is Berwick Vs Plymouth next Saturday.

We've tried numerous times on here and the Updates site itself to no success those that do volunteer often do it once or twice and then are never seen again. As I said previously I'm no longer involved with the site, So it's up to someone else to sort these things now

As szkocjasid has said it's due to lack of Volunteers basically the updates team has got less and less over the years there used to be 10+ of us now really it's down to me and Lauren but after doing it for 20 years I've recently decided to step back because i feel I've done my time and getting no help from elsewhere I've had enough. In all honesty I'd be very surprised if there was a speedway updates site in 2026. If you ever want to see the scores though 90% of meetings are now covered by the BSN stats website also

5 Heats gone and pathetic from the away side they're going to finish in the League Table were they deserve to be. Worrall and Kennedy absolutely woeful. Lambert embarrassing but nothing new there. Gusts is riding now as his meeting has been cancelled. Ritchings is riding at 2 now though.

I do think Scunthorpe need to keep hold of Harrison but is staying at Scunthorpe good for Harrison? It maybe beneficial for Harrison's career to have a year or two away from Scunthorpe and learn a different track by riding it week in week out. I don't think a rider staying too long at the same track is any good for them as they become one track Ponies like Lambert (could argue he's a no track pony atm).
