The new dog track was supposed to be built - well have a guess... on the old Elfield park site lol I doubt it will ever happen if Stadia UK have anything to do with it. Its a shame Reading have been treated in exactly the same way - and Swindon was even threatened and may still be subject to their curse!!!! It would be nice to have some sort of Scunny type facility in this area though - A lot of people would benefit for sure. The Hockey stadium would be ideal - but unfortunately its likely to be teared down to be replaced by Offices for the Rail companies. Seems a bit of a waste to me - especially as its original purpose was changed to accomodate the Football.

It doesnt matter if the surface is different - there is alot you could get out of a practice.... the main thing being, getting used to the shape (yes believe it or not fans EVERY speedway track is different in shape - even if they all look like an oval) - learning where the apexes are and working out where to throttle, where evident racing lines are... even technical things for the bike - these sessions can be invaluable and are a test run When coming into such a big meeting you would want everything prep'd to the best it can be so everything come racing goes like clockwork. Certain riders who purposely miss practice are obviously too good or just dont care about their performance - says it all really. (I would give a bye for guys who have travel problems or ride that track regularly though)

If thats true im going to have a nightmare travelling - as I live in Northampton - and the main and easiest route to get to Cardiff is via Silverstone, - to which the road is normally blocked on the F1 Weekend This is going to be a logistical nightmare for a lot of people. Funny how this year the F1 was a lot earlier than usual - and the speedway is going the other way in being later

its been said before Tracks should have a number of engines - riders turn up with their chassis and pick a number that engine is then theirs for the match and give back at the end. simple Engines are then serviced as standard all the same. Once they have become tired or need replacing they can then be sold to the NL clubs, Training tracks or Junior Riders The only things that can be altered would be Carb jetting, gearing and tyre pressures to suit the track.

Zorro in the GPs will be entertaining - hes a trier and will go for every point - its great hes got his chance im sure we will see the dancing if he wins - certainly more showmanship and character than almost the whole current GP line up this is how riders SHOULD get into the GP - on merit - not just picked because theyre face fits And proof again a rider isnt at peak until 30+ Its the same with Davey Watt - who id love to have seen qualify - purely because these guys are real racers In all fairness Emil Saifutdinov is a bit of a freak in that hes so good at a young age - I think its cool theres more of a mix now. Scrap the picks and just put in people on merit. Saifutdinov deserved his place this year due to winning the u21s twice. I dont agree with just putting in a Brit coz they have to - it isnt right for Harris or Nicholls to get a place time and time again without being good enough to qualify. I also believe current GP riders SHOULDNT be allowed in the qualifiers until the following season.

Theres been a hiccup every year in British league hasnt there???? Oxford for 2 seasons Reading 2 seasons Pboro etc etc I dont understand why when the match is done the riders dont get paid the points money there and then... thats really how it should be

Dude Grigorij Laguta is Russian - he was actually trying to become Latvian!!!! Your British get over it - if your from England, Scotland or Wales you are British - you can't change that. Another example of riders changing countries - Matej Ferjan - Hungary Marvyn Cox - Germany I can understand it - you have to do what best for your career. So the mechanics are wrong too for working for a certain nation - I worked for Team USA against Team GB - does that make me a traitor too???? Tai was in our pits that night helping out. I know Leigh Adams has a Polish mechanic - so does Grumpy This whole thread is ridiculous - so what if he was in their camp wearing a team shirt - he couldve got a lot out of it from the experience.

Fair play - and I agree with above - racing was much closer and more exciting.... Pboro has been an under rated venue for years

Tai helped us out in the USA pits in the 2007 world cup Like anyone who is usually involved - sitting in the sidelines gives you really itchy feet - better for the lad to be in there seeing how other riders do it. Id rather not see he who must not be named though - no real contribution to proceedings - and bored of the dreary monotone - I really hope he isnt swapping his non existent GP career for a microphone

Erm big difference - entertainment is more for evenings - so I can sit on the couch and have pizza and beer.... cant do that at 10am and it messes the rest of the day up - where I can be outside in the lovely sun like we've had today....

To be fair a lot of Polish people go to church on Sunday morning - thats why their league meetings are in the afternoon!!!!! I dont think theyre giving it much time for the track to recover from the rain - if it even stops... poor planning in my opinion. A bit stupid to have a full league fixture list the day after a major event - unless running a lot later than usual..... I say the same about Cardiff, who really wants to rush to a league match straight after - we all want a nice slow journey

This is stupid - yet again speedway making a prat out of itself...they had no chance of running, its flooded and its still raining I feel sorry for the fans who are there. Why cant they just face facts and call it off when its obvious it wont happen. Ironic that its not raining here though lol. Just shows event finals should be held in covered venues.... Dont you just love watching repeats whilst they sort themselves out at the track

I thought Lee really looked world class tonight - very impressed. To be honest always liked his persona more than "the other one who shalt not be named" Really came across as a great ambassador for the Brits and should in honesty be captain. As for the Team - excellent progress, done a lot more than expected. We beat the Danish team and have come 5th in the World - Great achievement. Team spirit was evident - something that lacked in previous years. Im disgusted by the expressions of some forum members who are slating the team and manager... you cant win them all though.
