We got ours last week , fourth bend

Seems to me that we're fitting fixtures in when they don't clash with anything more important on the continent . Have we really become that unimportant now ? Even in the Championship this is creeping in more and more , hard to see how this would change even if the leagues did amalgamate .

Rocky Bates' best meeting was guesting for Somerset , the punching part was reserved for his last two visits with his own club . We ran Sheffield close down there a few weeks back , this could be more of the same . Hopefully our three heat leaders have got their Peterborough nightmare out their system , because they'll all need to be firing on Saturday . Could be a cracker of a meeting with hopefully our version of the Tigers coming out on top .

And we have a home match on Saturday against Sheffield , so would much rather Richie was north of the border than dragged into this rubbish .

Definitely not . On the plus side , the lesser lights did their bit by the looks of it , i'm sure normal service from our top 3 will have resumed against Sheffield on Saturday .

When none of the three don't score double figures then we're in bother , but it's the first away meeting that we haven't taken at least a point from , so there's no reason to worry . Maybe the credit should go to Peterborough rather than look at our failings today .

He just didn't seem interested last night , apart from heat 14 where he gated , then got passed by both Glasgow riders , then at least had a go to regain second which he managed to do ....just . But his first three races he was ordinary .

Was so nice to be in a speedway stadium full to the brim with supporters last night . I took my eldest daughter , son in law and kids last night , and she hadn't been to speedway since I would take her to Shawfield as a teenager . I could tell she loved it again , so I hope this has rekindled her interest . I was like a sardine texting to the updates site as the Charlie Monk stand was packed , the stand filled up early , and the 4th bend covered terrace looked even busier than what it usually is when the Monarchs come calling . The owners are doing their best to try and promote the club and the sport , and last night's crowd must have been close to 2000 . Yes we know that was down to the new supporters scheme , but as a family night out for anybody new to the sport , it was a great success .

When the new BSPA chairman took over , he promised to make the rule book less ambiguous and make the sport simple again . 18 months later here we are arguing over yet another grey area that nobody noticed at the time . Presumably Sheffield would have had to have declared their team a few days in advance , so does nobody at the sport's headquarters look at these things when they come in ?
