No passing ?

I did a head count coming in and there were 39,437 plus Willie and wee George were still at the bag search bit fighting with a steward for their carry out .
-
I can , but it wont be at Somerset , I suspect oop north somewhere later in the season .
-
And since wee George was in the Hilton , I can't think who the fookin beast might be lol
-
You will indeed , heard you had an entertaining time in your hotel haha , and nothing to do with me this time
-
I was sat in a very nice Brewers Fayre in Bridgwater when common sense finally prevailed and they gave up . The hilly , grassy slopes of the back straight and 3rd bend would have been hilarious right enough , for that reason alone I couldn't see the sense of starting . The road outside our B and B in West Huntspill was like a river around 4-30 .
-
Well I enjoyed myself . Prince of Wales was enjoyable as usual , queue to get past the bag search was a pain in the arse , but better safe than sorry , though I don't think many Johnny Jihads go to the speedway , not even to Edinburgh . As for the racing , it was a better than normal Cardiff with a worthy winner , and no Poles near me being a pain which was a bonus . Had a chuckle when they tried to charge me and Willie £6 to get in the Walkabout at the back of 10 , behave yourselves it's a pub lol . Roll on next year .

I'm sure you're correct on both counts -
See you in there

Only in exceptional circumstances , and both sets of riders obviously thought it was getting too greasy . -

Obviously the team losing would have and the team leading wouldn't have a say unless the ref intervened -
Was always the journeyman second strings who came into their own more when the rain had fell , maybe the stars didn't fancy it as much , but in recent years at Glasgow we had Sean Courtney and Lee Dicken , both revelled in those conditions .

Cant understand all this " i'm not going " stuff . Ok the track has come in for a bit of stick at times , but you're up there challenging for the title . -
I'll probably bump into the usual suspects in the Prince of Wales in the afternoon , not sure who I want to win , i'll go for Doyle , as many have said , he's the moral world champion and deserves the crown for real this year .

After heat 10 Glasgow were always in front , so could not ask for the meeting to be stopped . Berwick were obviously happy to continue and after their 4-2 in heat 14 which brought the sides level , a shake of the hands suited everyone , apart from some of the fans and of course the braindead few who love to blame and in their twisted little world , it was all Glasgow's fault - as some numptie posted on the speedway updates site claiming he'd received a text telling him that -

Doolan is on the wind down , looks like he's on a season long farewell tour -
What was the reason for the red hanky he always wore , superstition I suppose ?
-
That's a given

We've survived the rain before , when Joe Screen and James Grieves won it , it was a monsoon - no Aussies in the final though which helped . And there was another year when the Oak Tree was an oasis surrounded by rain . So there is hope .

Easy home win with too many stoppages , looked as if a hole was developing on bend 4 with Morris hitting it a couple of times during heat 15 . We seemed to ease off towards the end of the meeting , but it's another 3 points in the bag . -

In hindsight maybe the track had got a bit greasy , the times had drifted into the 70's in the latter heats , maybe both team managers were happy just to call it a draw . Suppose the scoreline after heat 14 made the decision easy , had either side been 2 points behind , the decision might have been different . -

Dry and bright at the moment , albeit a bit on the breezy side . Don't invisage any problems -

Agree with everyone , that was so disappointing not getting a last heat decider , I've seen races ran on worse tracks than that . -

Good stuff , suppose those world famous covers wont be down because of a silly football match , so hope it stays dry
