  1. If that is what he's implying then I think he's wrong. Jensen isn't in the 1-7 that I've heard is being announced tomorrow.. Just done the sums, and the team is slightly over the points limit, so I assume Worrall must have gotten the reduction.
  2. http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/news-centre/754-witches-announce-first-signing-for-next-year
  3. No Leigh is a bit of a shocker. Lanham and Ipswich never seemed a good fit in the past for whatever reason but he seemed to settle down quite nicely the last couple of seasons. I've absolutely no doubt he'll come back with his new team and be a right pain in the bum as he always has in the past!
  4. Barker has been riding PL because he doesn't ride abroad and there wasn't enough EL meetings to keep him happy financially. Now the fixture list at EL has been extended, maybe that will satisfy him enough to not do the PL as well but who knows. My money would be on him doing both again, and more than likely back at Plymouth in the PL.
  5. I think plenty would, although there is a general acceptance that he won't be back which is why he isn't figuring in many potential line ups. TBH I was disappointed with Barker this season I was expecting much more. On Heeps, the thing that impressed me most with him this season was his improvement in his gating. In his first season it was woeful and reminded me of Marcin Rempala's trapping. But this year he's been generally swift from the gate which has helped his scoring no end. Some turnaround.
  6. Think I've been to 3, maybe 4 meetings at Foxhall this year. Return to the top flight and I'll be first in line for a season ticket.
  7. I can see some logic in the team order changes mentioned, but the term "if it ain't broke don't fix it" springs to mind for me. We're doing very nicely at the moment and I think I'd personally leave well alone.
  8. Terrific performance from Heeps well done lad. Great to see a young Ipswich asset progressing nicely.
  9. Well that was a bit pants Ipswich! I think this meetings shows more about how inconsistent we are as much as anything else. Yes Workington are a good side, but is Workington away THAT much tougher than Scunthorpe away? And yet we draw at Scunthorpe and get hammered by more than 30 at Worky. Frustrating.
  10. 4+2. Not all that relevant really it's a different day and different meeting. But something similar will do. I like Hawkins he's a trier and I'm sure he'll contribute decent steady points.
  11. Hawkins scored paid 6 a couple of seasons ago when guesting for us so something similar will be a big help. The team looks solid with Lanham, Risager and Tungate all capable of chipping in with 6 or 7 to go with double figures from Barker. If Hawkins can chip in with a few then I'm confident Heeps and Ellis can outscore their counterparts to give us a good chance of progressing. Having said that, Workington can blow anyone away around their place so it will be very tough. Think it will be very tight over the two legs.
  12. Very pleasing start to our Premier League campaign. Heeps has been a little star so far this season the lad has a bright future no doubt. Ellis too looks a very talented lad and will improve as the season progresses. He's already taken some good scalps.
  13. Has Heeps been taking gating lessons over the winter? Last year he made Marcin Rempala look a rapid gater, but on Good Friday he was trapping like a good un!
  14. Yep very well done to Newcastle on a well deserved victory. But dear o dear Ipswich that was a pretty lame "effort"
  15. Lanham out of Witches kevlars and away from the number 1 spot is a good rider. Someone will get a bargain next season!
  16. Lasse losing his role at Peterborough removes that Thursday night problem but as Dave has pointed out, the averages don't make it viable for Ipswich. Wouldn't bet against Bjerre returning to Foxhall next year though. He's been dropped by Peterborough.
  17. Yes i noticed that. A couple of his heat wins were only .02 off Doolan's heat 12 win in the PL. Times would also naturally be slower in the second meeting as the track becomes slicker. Looks a talent the boy, hopefully Chris will get him involved at Ipswich sometime in the near future.
  18. You've saddled Cardinalsin with the wrong company there. He/she is one of the more reasoned Ipswich posters and talks a lot of sense. The points made in the post above are spot on. To be fair to Mr Snackette, he's said nothing out of place here either. He was quite rightly making the point to "stemoc", who for whatever reason chose to pipe up with an unnecessary comment that Ipswich wouldn't be interested in a British rider, that Somerset are not exactly swimming with Brits either.
  19. His accident was how many weeks ago? You may be right although a bit strange to tweet that now several weeks after it was cut off.
  20. Taylor Poole has just tweeted "that suit is now history" and linked a photo of him riding in his Witches suit. Does that suggest Risager has got the nod?.....
  21. Have to agree. I saw figures quoted a few posts back of 6 to 10k costs to bring the white line in at Leicester. Maybe there's less work involved there, but the figure quoted for the track work at Foxhall was around the 20k mark. The club raised 5k of that by doing a "buy a plot of shale" sponsorship scheme which was a great idea. I was one of many who donated and we've all been rewarded with a standard of racing on a consistent basis, far far better than we had to put up with for many years.
  22. Tressarieu is obviously the rider in question. Far to early to get worried although he has started poorly by his standards.
