  1. back to the day of riders using one bike and the sport being run like grasstrack here i think. too many think the sport can sustain paying extortionate wages. it's not all about the GP riders, as the leagues become weakened then riders of a certain average become the sought after ones and their demands get higher which defeats the object of weakening
  2. if the weather is good i love to go down on the beach opposite the stadium, there's a bar and it's a great atmosphere. failing that, on the way to the stadium there's bars and restaurants galore
  3. if it was all over really quick people say it wasn't value for money
  4. interesting that i tested the new website to renew WSRA membership and it wasn't facebook linked as guessed by gustix
  5. there is a new WSRA/Museum website coming shortly
  6. don't think Poole are one of the bigger payers, certainly weren't before, but the riders know they will BE paid and that makes a big difference
  7. have you ever seen Wright around the showground?
  8. if Ellis is number 2 i can see him getting a massive amount of bonus points which obviously don't count towards team building, so could help further along the line
  9. there WILL be a big financial crash in Polish speedway, there are teams that struggle to pay riders now, give it time
  10. as BluPanther put, wouldn't it be nice to have a Sunday to be able to push the top league for that exposure, not a Monday or Thursday. what do they do in Poland when there's a crash, don't they get held up? maybe they seem quicker because they have the 2 minute clock and know where they stand with it, and isn't that happening over here next year? tracks are PURPOSE BUILT as i said, which means they are ready for speedway, they don't have to rely on renting a stadium that is used for bangers or greyhounds, so other than everyone in the UK building their own track, what is your solution? i think some people might be blinkered thinking that if the top riders in the world are riding then the racing will be better, when that definitely is not the case. basically, that "million miles apart" is down to them having purpose built tracks
  11. what are Poland doing different to the UK, other than having government funded teams and purpose built stadia?
  12. the one thing visitors to the showground will get in 2019 is entertainment. a mix of gaters and racers and on a track like Peterborough i hope fans can get behind it
  13. pretty disrespectful towards a lot of people on this forum that have been going to speedway all their lives, you're not alone, but you really don't realise how lucky you are to have had a chance to support the same team for so many years. i'm from Wimbledon, grew up going to Plough Lane (football & speedway), my grandad worked at the stadium, so did my parents (they met there), and now look at it. i've been involved riding at Canterbury, Reading, & Exeter, but you talk to supporters of those clubs you'll realise you're very lucky at Kings Lynn. think of all the changes at the stadium, used to be a total rubbishepit, but i bet you have a more comfortable spot up in the stand now. i bet you used to be negative about stuff even when you had Lee and Jessup as top riders but still lost, there just wasn't the internet to vent it. chill out, support your team, get behind them, Kings Lynn are a top club again, this year showed that, embrace it man!
  14. i might be wrong, but you're beginning to sound like a spoilt child that's not getting their way
  15. doesn't he qualify on both counts? that's why he was allowed to ride for Eastbourne isn't it?
  16. i remember a few seasons ago at Kings Lynn Kenny Bjerre was the only rider that didn't have Roger Warnes Transport on his fork cover, i asked him and he said he wouldn't be there if he couldn't, it really is that important for riders
  17. there comes a time when one needs to look forward, not back
  18. missed out on Flint? you must be one of the very very few that didn't realise he was nailed on for Berwick when the time came
  19. unless they started negotiating and realised that with a lower limit next season a certain calibre of rider can now demand so much more
  20. i miss the days when EVERY club would have speedway March - October
  21. how many other PL teams have been named though? CL are naming, but PL are pretty much waiting until EVERYTHING is sorted i would imagine
