Ihave already been accused of being a pessimist but I would strongly emphasise the point that neither Horton/Watson have released any communication post the releases from Councillor Stokes and Sandhu via the Stoxsite. Why if they were happy they would have been anxious to reassure the fans with season tickets etc on the horizon. Sorry I still feel there is something wrong with the reassurances we had nearly two weeks ago. Sorry we deserve a statement from the Speedway sources!

[quote name="Tsunami" post=" Oh lord, here we go again. .... No news is good news! The stadium is in transition from current owners to new, hence nothing is being done to it until the keys are given to Horton in Jan. The Bees website posted the comments at the time, nothing more needs to be said. We've named our team. Stop being so pessimistic. Not being pessimistic just realistic. What comments were made on Bees website that's my point NO comment from Horton/Watson has been made since the announcements were made by Stokes/Heaver. Still say short comments by Bees to confirm the news that has been supplied by other parties!.

Am I alone in wondering about the Bees future. 10 days ago we were told by Jeremy Heavet and Councillor Stokes that all was sorted. Sandhu and Muck Horton now good friends working together for sake of stock cars and speedway. Only thing lacking is a comment from Messrs Horton/Watson to confirm that they are also singing from the same hymn sheet as Heaver/Stokes. Some 10 days have elapsed since the so called agreement notjhing positive from Speedway side. I know some posters think that there is no need for any such speedway statement but I would have thought that this would be common courtesy!.

Has anyone yet revealed if or when the signing of the lease takes place or when it took place?.Mr Watson any comment.

I thought the intention was to make rule book simpler my reading of riders is now doubly difficult!!

Just finished my rant now statement issued that it's all back on again you couldn't make it up if you tried. Good news but we still have to look to the future with trepidation! I love speedway and have followed the Bees for 68 years. Have not missed a Bees meeting 12 years but I can assure the speedway world that if the Bees go Neither my son or myself will travel to Leicester to watch Cov/lions ride. Even if we get over this present hiccup what sort of future faces the loyal supporters. I purchased season tickets regularly until last season where I could see the writing on the wall. Season tickets price for two had risen from £400 to £500, concessions gone. Season ticket holders lost money on their tickets. Sorry after all my years of support I will join the army of armchair supporters, cancel Speedway Star. Sorry even if the current situation is resolved what of the future. Who is going to actually build and pay for the new stadium even if the land could be found. More problems for the future. I don't know who is at fault in the present situation but it totally ridiculous. A city with inferior football team that has dropped 3 divisions and once a Speedway team where we watched the best riders in the world

Now we know malicious intent.like Like many others I was present in 2010 (?) when Sandhu gave his promise that he would provide a new Coventry Stadium if Brandon was sold for housing. Sounds like the promise meant nothing to him although we were happy that he provided this promise in front of many loyal supporters. A case of if I can't bat I'm taking the bat and ball home!!

Here we go again latest chapter of speculation MH tried to buy the assets and fittings for £1 where do these posters get all these strange ideas?. As I said the other day more fairy stories than Hans Anderson (the author not speedway rider).
-
I can't believe the situation we have major problems with our chosen sport and have had for a few years. For the last few days we have had gloom doom and speculation on this forum. We are waiting for "latest news" the best the Bees can provide is a report on the show st the NEC. Mr Watson is a regular poster on the forum but where is he, he has a responsibility to inform the Coventry suporters of what the current situation is. It could be all huff and puff at Brandon with a genuine reason for whats's happening. A clear bit of information from the club could stop all the silly speculation. I realise there should be legal reasons for not supplying the exact situation but would suggest we are owed some explanation from Mr Watson in view observe of MH!

I'm not sure what to make of all this. Shale is a very expensive commodity but in December how much would the shale on the track be worth as a second hand item has had Speedway bikes, Stock cars bangers etc one would imagaineit would've worthless. Wet shale would cost a fortune to transport. Where did all this start some very strange photos taken over a fence. There may be substance to this item but we do read some rubbish on the forum all supposition more fairy stories than Hans Anderson produced. Mr Watson come out in the absence of MH and explain to your loyal but diminishing number of supporters exactly what if anything is happening at Brandon!! The Hans Anderson I refer to is NOT the ex Coventry rider.
-
Yes he should be good a thorough knowledge of Speedway

Dave I agree with you n that pointHave been season ticket holder until this season just gone Because of their withdrawal of concessions and a price increase of £100 for two tickets I refused to purchase seasont tickets. I know they will point out that it included a programme with each ticket. The days of programmes are on the wane because they are only a reprint of the Speedway Star and Coventry Telegraph. Concessions should be reintroduced and programmes should NOT be included. It should provide entry to the Stadium only. I ask this question a family of four arrive with season tickets finish up with 3 unwanted programmes crazy thinking. I agree that season ticket holders lost out and it cost them more than admission at the turnstiles would have cost. There has to be a financial advantage when shelling out preseason. By the way son and I didn't miss a meeting this year
-
Done and dusted for next season deal has been done Bees back at Brandon for next year at least. Well done to Councillor Stokes of Rugby Council also to Pete Lawrence andhismerry men. Now let's stop all the stupid posts and give the management including Mick Horton the support they need to get the Bees back where they should be. Support is the name of the game not stupid comments that don't help!
-
Wozniak is a must all in all he had a good first season
-
Still at it a bit of good news then this site starts all over again Mick Horton owed money years ago etc. Hopefully it's finished get back to Speedway stop all the winging. Save that for the BSPA they are the people who are ruining our sport. Fast track positions being filled by ex international riders etc.
-
Thank you it's all sorted just remember those members on this site who have attacked Mick Horton about this match. As I said I don't agree with everything he does but too many people jump to assassinate Mick Horton. You were wrong!
-
The usual amount of rubbish on this site, rumours, all sorts of views being expressed without foundation. Until the truth of the matter is released would suggest that the assassination of Mick Horton should cease. I don't always agree with all his decisions but I do think we should await some sort of positive news and rely on some of the rubbish being circulated!

Where is Mr Watson these days to answer about egret from Stadium car park. When gates are closed people are driving in between cars/people in an attempt to get out this I would have thought is a greater contravention of Public safety than the bridge that seems oft regularly closed due to guess what "elf and safety give" where is the common sense it's dangerous Mr Watson!! -

To respond to Hair is this the best post you can make on a speedway site?. What a pathetic reply no reasoning, no content. How many times have you seen Chris Harris ride not many from your pathetic post!!!!!!
