I don't think he has been particularly harshly treated by Redcar - changes needed to be made to Redcar's team with the priority trying to win at home and Theo has been the worst performing rider in home meetings. He's not a youngster or a Bears asset so was the obvious first rider to replace. To fit Theo in Berwick have dropped a rider too - it happens! Maybe John will be sticking two fingers up to Berwick.
-
That's the issue with Kus - fans can understand when riders aren't good enough but you can see they are giving it their all. Kus is so inconsistent and appears to give up so easily its difficult to have him as one of the "heat leaders" in your team. Very frustrating.
-
Well changes had to be made and whilst he's certainly not alone in being culpable the team needs to be strengthened.

The Andersen’s were due to fly from Denmark to Stansted, if you read the news there was major disruption to many flights caused by lightning strikes and there was chaos at the airport. On a bank holiday weekend it’s not easy to make alternative arrrangements as flights are always packed. Fining Redcar in these circumstances would be ridiculous - I believe the club private jet was in for servicing so that wasn’t an option.

Redcar v Lakeside 24th may
Yearbyred replied to SuperBear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Didn’t go tonight so can’t comment on tonight’s performances but I can’t see how , based on their performances this year, Busch and JBA are the backbone of a really good team. Both have been inconsistent at best. JBA seems to have gone backwards imo. Always thought we would struggle away but it’s not acceptable to capitulate so often at home. A team with so many under performing riders on a home track that holds no fear for any opposing rider is a recipe for a very difficult season. -

Can't see the Bears being able to live with Morris and Lawson so heats 13 and 15 look tough. The Bears need points contributions from every team member to have a chance of winning this one - looks a tough ask. -

So last weeks heat 15 pairing for the Bears are now both reserves - can't believe that has happened often. -
Stewart obviously the star man - his visiting Mum must have been very proud of him tonight but some good back up rides by the Danish brothers (particularly enjoyed JBA getting the better of Richie (put that on your facebook)). In terms of racing it was probably the best we've seen for a while with some good tussles and no serious incidents. Tigers would have won with a full strength team no doubt but given how the season has started for the Bears it's hard to begrudge them things going their way for a change.

Do the BSPA recognise Czech rain though - is it on the list of approved weather?
-
I think most Redcar supporters weren’t keen on Kus coming back and if the rule re the Czech league has been in place for a while (as some are saying is the case) then the fault lies with Redcar. Glasgow should really be coming away with 4 points from this meeting now.

Only going on what Kevin Keay said on radio - Proctor was booked but after a protest by Glasgow the ruling was made. Can’t see it does the sport much good, it weakens an already weak team and I’m sure the crowd figure will reflect this.
-
Just listening to Kevin Keay on the local radio , Ty Proctor was booked as guest to replace Kus but Glasgow appealed and it was ruled that a NL guest had to be used, Ryan Terry Daley.

Some of the paying public will suffer but I'm sure a few of the people who pick and choose their meetings now (that includes me these days) will just decide not to attend.

Redcar v Scunthorpe championship shield
Yearbyred replied to Tosh1218's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I want suggesting that I wanted to see Garrity (or any rider injured at all) - just could have done without his Wealdstone Raider impression after his previous ride and post crash. -

I'm sure Scott Nicholls walk back to the pits featured less Liam Gallagher wannabe posturing/pantomime villain antics than Garrity's however. Didn't see the re-run of Heat 9, left during the (second) wait for the replacement ambulance. The team always looked like a lower end of the table side but they are under performing and with just about all visiting riders enjoying riding at Redcar (very little home track advantage) it could be a very challenging season both on and off the track. -

Thought Stewart looked much better in his last ride when he didn’t ride as tight around the first and second bends. Overall was pleased with everyone’s showing but will be much sterner tests ahead. -

Slightly unfair - I wouldn't say all the visiting Newcastle supporters are hefty although it's a reasonable amount Last time I went to Brough, I think Martin Dixon had a cracking meeting so it's been a while. -

Think this will be pretty close - Newcastle have riders who have a lot of experience around Redcar and the Bears have 2 riders having their first appearance at the track (assuming Stewart is fit enough to ride) A lot will depend on the 2 enigmas - Kus and Lindgren. Not much in it either way. -

Scorpions vs Redcar - 6.4.18 - Championship Shield
Yearbyred replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I’m perfectly happy to call out Redcar fans and riders when I think they are in the wrong. Every team has fans whose behaviour doesn’t reflect well on the team. If I thought JBA’s move was wilfully designed to cause Worrall harm I would say so but in my opinion it wasn’t. -

Yes that's right it's only "snowflakes" (copyright Daily Mail) who bring these things up says the bloke quoting chapter and verse about incidents involving other teams riders. My irony meter has gone to 11. I take it you have read Richie's facebook post (the one titled JBA F*** me) and the associated replies stating "your time will come" and Richie baiting Jonas to respond on Facebook whilst others call JBA every name under the sun. I trust you are ashamed to be a speedway fan by association?
