Thanks buddy. Played right into our hands. Well done to the Rebels; a great team performance. A long way to go but a great start with hopefully more to come. -

Stay at home please? That way you'll miss a cracking meeting where the Rebels conquer their bogey track and thrash the Witches. And then I'm "back in the room". Come on you Rebels and give Ipswich a run for their money and the fans a meeting. -

Better keep this one in the old 'Clipboard' for pasting throughout the season! -

Great team performance by the Rebels today. Not too shabby considering we haven't been on track recently. Quite pleased that Charles and Paul have picked themselves up after some duff meetings for their EL teams now they are both promoted from reserves. BWD also continues to impress from reserve. Looking forward to a home meeting. That would be a novelty! Bet the lads are buzzing on the drive home. Now wouldn't it be nice to have a win at Foxhall for a change? -
Took the words right out my mouth. Just checked to see who we had on Friday and its speedway's least favourite team, Reserved. Has Paul Starke actually had any competitive home meetings yet for the Rebels. Whatever happened to having regular proper meetings every week and struggling to fit in rainoffs?

Edinburgh V Glasgow League Cup 15 April
Willowman replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The Rebels were due to race Plymouth before their shock withdrawal from the PL but Rye stepped in. Unfortunately we couldn't use our asset Paul Starke due to the fact it was a rearranged fixture and was required by his EL club Leicester as they were racing that night. Sorry mate. -
Redcar Bears V Workington Comets 14/4/16 7:30pm Lc
Willowman replied to Comet Dan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Taken from the BSPA website: "The Comets will have late winter signing Rasmus Jensen making his debut, but rider-replacement will be in operation for the injured Rasmus Jensen." Oops! Easy mistake to make as Rasmus Jensen sounds mighty close to Mason Campton. Same number of syllables. Good luck to Rasmus for the season. Was impressed when he was a Rebel last year. Hope he forgets his way around the OTA on 6th May. -
David Coulthards best buddy it seems. What a legend.

So there is a grown up in there somewhere! -
Commitment and entertainment. Good signing.

Sure sign that the speedway season is close now that the Cheltenham Festival is in full swing.
-
You mean watch virtually the same speedway!

What I was wondering was if you did it as your main job? Sounds as though it was a huge commitment but still a hobby rather than a job; unless I'm wrong of course. Bet you've got a few stories to tell?

Full time?

Wow, steady on there Cliffeboy; don't bust a blood vessel. Only passing on my opinion. The way I saw it was Nick went for an ever decreasing space around Fricke and had to dump it when the space ran out. I bet Fricke didn't even know he was there. As for Brady he also went for it too hard, one bend earlier than Nick and as you point out got into a spot of bother. The thing about the pairs is that you don't have to win, just not come last. If only they had backed off a little, avoided falling, chances are they both would have picked off an opponent and not come last. If not it would have been great watching them try instead of watching them walking back to the pits.

Brilliant. If you want a good laugh, Google/Bing it. Can you guess what comes up under Images?
-
Harsh but I think correct, over exuberance to blame in both instances.
-
Damn it, have I missed meetings already then?
-
And Somerset.
-
Yes (from a Somerset fan too)!
-
Ah ha, so I did miss "something". Thanks for that.
