  1. Taken from here. "PREMIER LEAGUE LATEST… BERWICK continue to linger .... The Scottish outfit are now without a win in their last eight meetings in all competitions. Team manager John Anderson said:..." Well that should please the locals! Have they moved the border? Wouldn't be the first time! It was to the north of Berwick when I last lived there some 37 years ago. P.S. Oops. Wrong thread!
  2. Wonder if he will have any tonight? After all he will be riding for Somerset!
  3. Why would he put the last two (Redcar & Risager) when discussing Ipswich Vs Berwick too? Could be missing something subtle here but can't work that one out myself.
  4. You forgot "Well done to Brady Kurtz for gifting you a point earlier in the week." too.
  5. " MEMORIES OF BERWICK SPEEDWAY"; sounds a bit ominous?
  6. I tend to agree. It is going to be a tense affair. If the Witches keep it tight early on and bang in a few spoilers we may just crumble. Could do with a good win to take up North, that's for sure.
  7. Don't think my friends would say so. I also come from Berwick too.
  8. Nothing to moan about following the pairs win!
  9. Yes they really did. Consistent all evening and riding as a pair in particular Danny who was on top form. Just a shame Brady messed up as it would have been a cracking final race. Josh seemed to be down on pace all night for some reason but managed to avoid last places. As such if the Rebels had demoted a Witch to last it really would have been race on as Josh would have had to ride to keep the Witch at the back. But that is all irrelevant now. Congratulations again to the Witches.
  10. Welcome 'ATB'. Have been looking forward to this for weeks especially after missing the speedway last week and no meeting the week before. Well up for a goods night racing. Hope the track is well prepared which will be a big ask after a full day of hot weather. Don't want anybody throwing their dummies out their prams (ala Mr Vissing) do we?
  11. Damn it, beat me to it. I was going to say a plane!
  12. Well heat 13 must go down as one of the best races I have witnessed in over 20 years of watching speedway. Literally the crowd spontaneously applauded after the race, okay maybe the majority for the result but many for the quality of the race they had just witnessed. I know everyone claims to have seen the best ever race, but trust me, you would have been amazed at this one in particular. I sincerely hope it makes it onto the net so that you can concurr or otherwise. So thank you, Brady Kurtz, Josh Grajczonek, Edward Kennett and Nicolai Busk Jakobsen for an absolute classic the likes of which rarely come around. I think that if you could watch it in slow motion you still wouldn't be able to take in all the passing going on for all four laps. An absolute classic. Robin Aspgren a reserve! You have got to be kidding. Rye House were terrific tonight and gave the Rebels a real scare. They deserved a point from the meeting but I won't loose any sleep that they didn't get one. Thanks for a great meeting and in particular, an all time classic heat 13.
  13. Enthuses Emphasize Emphasis Enthusiasm Enthusiast Words suggestions!
  14. Likewise when the Rebels are on the road. You never know, perhaps we could do so at Foxhall someday! The Diamonds were great value for money on Friday. Kerr and Henry got stuck in. How Kerr managed to continue after his off defies belief. I think he got spooked out by Starke passing him, lost concentration and just got too close to the fence. Very lucky to hobble away from that one.
  15. Looked comfortable at Somerset. Seem to remember someone saying not so good elsewhere (Peterborough?).
  16. Would that be around Foxhall by any chance?
  17. Perhaps that was something to do with the effects of the tractor racing!
  18. Ouch, sounds painful. Bloatedness in the extreme. Not sure you will get your cup of tea if that happens. Really hoping for a much better performance from the Rebels tonight. Would do team confidence the world of good.
  19. Correct. 'Starkey' has got a 'y' in it. 'Starke' is spelt the same as 'starke' though, capitals excepted!Hoping for a much better performance by the Rebels tomorrow especially from Leigh and Richie. Surely we can't be any worse than 2014?
  20. My thoughts exactly. We'll find out on Friday as Poole are at Swindon. Hopefully with it being a temporary replacement Somerset will prevail. If not I for one will be well p1ssed off as I would have thought many others would be.
