  1. Thank you. Lots of short breaks in Kings Lynn this year = ten meetings at the AFA including four Young Stars. Best meeting I saw was Belle Vue (b fixture) because of the high skill levels from Bewley and Kurtz and how Stars did what they did to hold on. Saw some great (if unpredictable) races with Young Stars. Scott was sublime times, Harrison so committed and Rushen’s joy for speedway was infectious. Don’t think I ever drove back to my hotel for a pint feeling disappointed with what I had seen. It was good for me that twice stars and Y Stars raced within a couple of days of each other.
  2. Bob Dugard lost tens of thousands of pounds every year running the Eagles. In the end, he pulled the club out of the top division. Four seasons in the NDL followed and brought on track success but costs were high. That promotion pulled out at that point which suggests it wasn’t highly profitable. Then the ill-fated Jordan promotion. So for many years, Eastbourne struggled financially with insufficient crowds to make it pay. And those who know their history will tell you closure due to unprofitable operations has been part of the Arlington story under both Bob and his father
  3. It might be the herald of good news to come (whatever good news looks like).
  4. It’s 14 miles betweeen two stadiums and not many people. Speedway at swaffham has been talked bout for best part of 40 years.
  5. My guess now is that some top league teams will not run in 2026. Belle Vue and Leicester left looking for a league while Kings Lynn, Ipswich sit it out. Reckon KL might run NDL team as last year’s team grew in popularity and entertained.
  6. Not sure I understand Speedy Star story today. My interpretation is that Championship clubs will be 2026 league speedway in UK. Obviously, no doubling up/down which will hugely affect riders’ earnings. Anything on Premiership level greatly diminished. Guess that’s why top names going Danish.
  7. Berwick are always standout Kent collection was late in season and some supporters will have donated at other tracks
  8. Curtain down on the NL season at Iwade and time to say well done to Messrs Graveling and Gray for bringing speedway back to South East. Thanks also to all those volunteers who helped make it happen.
  9. North will have too many teams compared with south. Iwade, Poole and Plymouth don’t make a league. They are truly southern. Suppose if you add in the east angles you get to 5 .
  10. The man who cut the deal deserved his cut. It’s - as you say - what clubs did with their share.
  11. Once on a time there was TV money and we know who took gigantic slices of that particular cake.
  12. Thinking about this, surely Foord was withholding services which would mean Kent could have a guest.
