  1. Watched Ben from when he first rode at Rye, only looked about 10 with his wooly hat and looked like any gust of wind would knock him over. Can't honestly remember him falling off alot. No where near as much as Danyon and Alfie did when their started last year. Haven't seen the Raiders this year, can only follow them on the updates. But can't see how you can compare Ben with the current crop.
  2. Understand he was injured, but if he had been fit he couldn't have ridden for both teams at the same time. So how can both teams declare him as R/R on the same evening?
  3. How can R/R be used by both Newcastle and Kings Lynn on the same night for Robert Lambert?
  4. Will that mean Craig Cook is promoted it into the qualifier? Hope he is and good luck to him and Lambert in the meeting.
  5. perhaps in hindsight Kent chose the wrong guest as both Ben and Rob fly around the Kent circuit. Unless Len wouldn't ask BMR out of principle or if he did the answer was no.
  6. We're Morley or Branford eligible to have replaced Bowen?
  7. Last year Rye had Hume,Bowtell and Hunter all 3pointers, who fell off countless times but did show improvement as the season went on and were entertaining to watch. Not seen the Raiders this year as moved away from the area but follow them on updates and the improvement isn't coming through at the moment and can understand the fans frustration.
  8. Emil won in atrocious conditions, the worst I have seen at Rye. But boy did he attack the track Think Tai was 2nd or 3rd. Remember waiting outside while it rained, and took a chance when it was pronounced as being on. A good meeting I seem to remember.
  9. If he does, hope Rye would welcome him back. We need some more fire power at 2nd string ( no idea if he would fit in ).
  10. If Eddie, Robbo and Leigh repeat their form from the British Semi Final at Scunthorpe we will get hammered but hope that was just a one off. With Kasper at reserve I think we might sneak a point.
  11. How many matches are required to gain an average so that you can rid of a assessed rider?
  12. 1st visit of the season for me, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good crowd which seemed up on previous seasons. Arrived at 6.20 and car park was nearly full. 1st time I've seen racing without the camber, so much better. Should've got rid of it years ago. Very good vibes about the place from the people I spoke with. Next meeting probably the Rye At Plymouth for me. Hope we can repeat our earlier season victory, think I was the only Rye supporter there to see it.
  13. At Rye I've seen hundreds of times a rider come straight from the pits turn left then go around the starting tapes to get to the start line, is that now not allowed.
  14. + 1 Wild Card per event, nominated by the organising Federation. Will Max Clegg get the nomination for the Kings Lynn round. Max was the other GB nominated to complete in the qualifiers so must stand a chance to get the nod.
  15. This time last year Danyon was a 3pt rookie for Rye, now look at him, 2nd string holding his own and pushing for a heat leader spot. Remember watching Danyon and Alfie in their early meetings last year, frightening to watch, giving it a real go and never giving up. Pity we couldn't hold on to him and Alfie Bowtell, as we are starting from scratch again with our 3 new 3pt rookies. Hope at least 1 of them really pushes on this season.
  16. Does the above rule still exist this season, and is it still only in the Elite league. Can't remember it used much last season, but did feel it was a good idea.
  17. Eastbourne will have to stick with their 2 usual reserves. The other 2 are guesting for riders in the 1-5 so must ride in them positions
