Rye House V Birmingham Sat 25th July
iand replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
Always remember 2009 when Kyle Hughes lost the run off for the NLRC , leading Craig Cook until the last bend when his engine seized. Really felt for him that night. Sport can be so cruel at times. -
Could he ride in all 3 leagues? I thought Adam Ellis was stopped from doing this earlier in the season.

No he didn't , good job for him as he never had the beating of Ryes top 4 all meeting. Did expect a bit more from him. Really struggled in his opening rides. Realise he is young but didn't live up to all hype about him. Compared to BWD who quickly dialled into the Rye track and looks a fine prospect. -

Don't think you would have got the point if Rob Branford had been riding. -

Mildenhall V Rye House Sun 19th July 1530 Start
iand replied to iand's topic in National League Speedway
Blue groove appeared during heat 4 on 1st bend, slick track suited Rye. If Danyon could've stayed on his bike we could have hit 60. Mildenhalls mgr/promoter Kevin Jolly apologised to the fans after the match regarding the track, and was not happy with some of his riders. -
Surely it should have been announced and the local derby promoted. It may only be the Raiders but as a club we should be promoting them. We seem to be getting the simple things wrong at the moment. This can not be good for the future of Rye House Speedway.

Arrived just before tapes up. Did anyone hear it announced the Raiders are at Mildenhall tomorrow?

Glad to hear that, hoping to make it tomorrow . Quite a few years since I've been to Mildenhall. Will be interesting to see how Ryes reserves cope. -
Any team news for Rye regarding Luke Chessell and Rob Brandford?
-
What average would Kyle have?
-
Draw never made until Friday evening before the event.
-
Silly Ben, have you had too much sun today?
-
With Branford in for Rye we had an outside chance, but without him not a hope in hell of even qualifying.
-
7. Alfie Bowtell - 3,1,2,3 = 9 at home to Kent.Hopefully more of that to come.
-
what size crowd did Rye get Saturday?
-
The same can be said for the Raiders, Woods and the reserves need to score for us to stand a chance. Seen The Raiders 3 times this season.1st meeting Sam looked OK against Stoke but didn't score well only 1 but looked to improved from last year.2nd meeting against Kings Lynn he had vastly improved scored 8, but his last one against Coventry scored only 2 and seemed off the pace. Hume seems the better of the 2 reserves as he can gate but is prone to over trying and dropping points. Bowtell is the interesting one, can't gate to save his life but seems fast at times and can only get better with more and more matches. A big learning experience for all the team. Hope to see a bigger Raiders crowd this week because the racing at times is very good. Gutted I can't make this weekend.

Is Luke Priest back for Rye? I'm sure Luke or R/R will do better than the 1pt Brendon Johnson got last time at Arlington. Eastbourne won by 20 last time, my prediction this time is Rye to lose by 10.
-
I always thought that NL 4's took priority, but I'm sure I read somewhere that Rob Brandford would be missing for Rye as he had a match for Edinburgh.
