Abbott, I fully understand that with the league and agree it should be run at the start or end of the season, however all I asked was when it was going to be run, nothing sinnister in that. As for your point with regards to the "Tyne Tees Trophy" you already know my view on that and that has not changed since it was "binned".

Thanks for that seems strange though even at the time of year it is being run to me, as there are not many spare dates to be used if we get a few rain offs. I had thought they may of ran a double header at Newcastle on Sunday as they were already there in the league, but it doesn't appear they are doing that either hmm........ Watch this space then I guess.

Newcastle Diamonds Vs Edinburgh (28/07/2013)
mike7164 replied to msc1874's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Had a lot of heavy rain over night and indeed this morning early doors, however it is still overcast and drizally but starting to brighten up a bit now 2 miles from the track. -
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv thanks for your post but IMO although Richie is a VERY good rider he is not a number one in my view both in terms of the rolling avrages as well as the way he at times fades off towards the end of some meetings. However if he keeps making good progress he could soon hold it down full time IMO

Lucan I agree with you about Somerset being the happiest LOL and for what it is worth I like to see Robbo flying around as well, as he is Mr entertainer and a good team rider, but what I don't want to see is him trying over hard and making mistakes, as any rider getting injured is not good news however for Stuy to get any more injuries at all is bad as they are all servear where he is concerned IMO. All the best to you and Workington for the rest of the season exept when racing against us home or away

Depends on your rule book or mine although IMO we blew it tonight and we will continue to do so until we sign a 7th rider (or till Henry is fit to return) and we get a propper number one, which we have needed all season long. Thats not having a go at Stuy as I like the guy a hero of mine, however I think some of his low scores of late is happening because IMO he is trying to hard and if he keeps doing it I fear he will come a nasty cropper on himself, so if you read this Stuy please ease up abit and stay safe! As for the meeting well done both sides but IMO Somerset had the edge throughout the meeting, and may I also add my thoughts of the heat 14 reserves and I go against a lot of posters on here and I'm not Georges biggest fan regarding him as team manager, but I agreed with him leaving Chris in over Lewis, as in Lewis's last outing judged he broke the tapes, and although Ludvig won the heat before I would of maybe made a case for putting in both reserves as Ludvig had not done a lot before that race. Just an opinion though.

Well nobody else has started this yet so here goes, after Fridays teriffic result at Edinburgh lets hope we can keep the points coming. After Somerset got a one point defeat at Workington last night can we go one better and take all three points on offer (I hope so) Any views? Newcastle 50 Somerset 43 I hope.

Well with being Knocked out of the KOC can we make this cup run count? I guess it all comes down to how big a margin we have to either pull back or defend, but Sheffield is not always a happy hunting ground for the Diamonds so here is hoping its the latter. Lets hope we can get back to picking up points away from home befoew this meeting to keep confidence running high. I hope we get a big crowd as its a week off at home before we face the Somerset Rebels on the 21st

Berwick V Newcastle - Live On Sky - May 21st
mike7164 replied to luluthetiger's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not at all, as I said I take on board what you were saying earlier but why does it just have to be offers to new comers who whilst may turn up for a offer of whatever sort and after that stops weather it be one meeting or whatever perid of time the likelyhood is the may not (always) come back at a regular priced night where your hard core will. So where is that fair? -

Whilst I can see what you are saying and to a point I agree with, but just to flip it for a second why shouldn't the regulars get something back too for their loyalty? as it seems to me the regulars are getting nothing these days to me. -
