With the sad passing of Bob Tasker earlier in the closed season, are there any plans a foot to who if anyone is going to be filming at the northern tracks including Newcastle? I hope we do still have meetings filmed.

That he was I still have loads of video/dvd footage with him riding for us, he was a New Zealander born racer class act.

The team has not been a proper team IMHO since 2010 it just gets weaker by the season & by the meetings IMO RR should not be aloud for any longer than two or three consecutive meetings if a team does not sign another rider it should be a guaranteed guest or at least a no 8 to a PL reserve standard as you pay to see a 7 man team which ever team you support. But anyone who does not conform with the to be honest a lot of crap that speedway & In this case Newcastle dishes out its my opinion you are not valued as a supporter unless you are A in a click or B just pay your money and become a Churchill nodding dog!! Also note to Dave Roland this is in no way a go at you as I don't have a personal problem with you its addressed to the running of the club. and George as a manager

well, people do say that 'not any 1 person is bigger than a club',,, bit of a risky test to take tho IMO,,,

If & I say & mean IF either are true then George English should in my opinion step down as manager immediately and both riders should be fined!! If not then surely some knuckles wrapping for someone.

Will the terrace gates or turnstile doors be open on Sunday for the practice? as I couldn't get in that way last year and its hard to access the pit entrance for me so I left and went back on the Monday? However this year I can get there on Sunday but not the Monday! Thanks

I have said the exact same for years but was always shot down, IMHO if your face fits in the club you can do exactly what the hell you like if not you can't!!

Dave I think you both make valid points however to me IMO and as I have said many times before it is JUST an opinion, but I do think everything was better years ago & I still enjoy, and get right in to watching meetings on dvd or video a lot more than of nearest times, and by that I think it was still good in days of KBS and prair and still get the dvds/ or would if they were in the shop to buy. As for the reasons why I think it is partly down to charicters that you had then as well as costs associated with everything and IMO the club are charging EL money and sadly I don't think the sport is worth that never mind at Newcastle!! So there for I have only been to 5 meetings so far in 2014 and I really don't see me returning a full season anymore and I was as you know a hard core supporter, I do however still support Newcastle from a distance mainly by updates and even when I am there the only rider I now fully support now and have always done is Stuy Robson and that is league wise never mind at Newcastle. I don't want to see Newcastle or any other club close but I do think ALL including Newcastle needs to be run better, but I don't see it happening sadly!! As I said though just an opinion!!

Well maybe GRT should have words with the track shop this season as I've been about a half a dozen times now and every time I ask for any batches of 4 dvds they don't have them, I have also had mates go there too weeks when I'm not there this season and get the same results, same with the Redcar vs Newcastle dvd that Roy announced last night too!!!

Yes would you believe though it is now 11 years ago since that horror coming together with Stuy and David Ruud, I even have the match somewhere!!

Quite right Ts, against Glassgow in 2011 which I believe was our first home meeting after reshuffleing the riding team to include Mark at no 1 instead of the injured Rene Bach Clase Nedamark and Matej Ferjan!
