Cardiff 2011 was the 2nd largest OB that Sky did that year with over 35 cameras used along with 10 3D cameras for that coverage. It was just behind Champions league final from Wembley which was over 65 cameras for world feed and Sky coverage. If the contract for GPs with Sky does not happen I am sure Telegenic who are Sky's current OB facilities partner will be happy to do Cardiff for BSI and would suggest them for the work as excellent state of art equipment and most importantly understand the sport and what's required. Blazeaway- I presume you have been talking to Mr Arthur and all that can be said talks continue with Matchroom for coverage as it does with BSI for Speedway

Blazeaway The Fishomania event will still be going ahead but at present it's not planned to be on Sky but like the Speedway that could change

Starman2006- The World championship of Darts and most other events will continue its sone of the fringe events that will loose Sky coverage off top of my head I think it's 4 or 5 less events. ATR will continue it was not horse racing that Mentioned before its the show jumping that's been affected and 2 Snooker events

Oh you have to love the customer retention team at Sky tv I can confirm that at present no plans for Danish or Swedish league racing on Sky next year. There is however plans to show the Euro league meetings featuring British clubs the home legs will be live but the away matches may be recorded and shown a day or so later on. With regards to the Gps on Sky all I can say is door still not bolted and welded shut but the catch and clasp have been put on the door, One thing I can say is if anybody does cancel through Sky the reason for cancellation and removing sport is taken very seriously and is reported on and distributed around the business so keep stating the reason as Speedway as could make a difference and make certain people realise how many subscribers are Speedway fans . In the new year this will be looked at even closer as I have stated before there are other sports that have had contracts reduced or not renewed so no more Dogs, fishing mania,equestrian events and others with reduced events include Darts,Snooker, Tennis and Pool.

From what I heard at end of last season there may be quite a Finnish connection at Edinburgh next year

Is Lasse Bjerre riding in the meeting on Friday ? I know he is missing on Saturday and Leicester have got rider replacement facility for him. Also looks like may need two guests at reserve as hear Blackbird has broken collarbone and Makinen dislocated shoulder again

Teams need to pick Leicester as not in good form especially away from home and looks like Bjerre may be out for rest of season with possible hand and wrist injury

It seems Leicester have had bad weekend with injuries shoulder damage for Jari, Back and thigh damage for Magnus and suspected broken wrist or hand for Lasse

Is the match against Leicester at the weekend going ahead ? As strong reports tonight at Beaumont park from officials and Workington rider that seems match may be cancelled

Not sure if Alex will be riding as last I heard was he was having to go to Leicester hospital to get checked out as was knocked out in crash and had been sick so possible concussion, I would suspect an overnight stay in hospital if this is correct I know the county ambulance just arrived as I left.

I agree the meeting did take a while to run with no major incidents but it is not the clubs fault the referee controls the meeting and decides when to put the two mins on and informs the clerk of the source when the track grades can take place. It was always going to take a while to run anyway as with RR often had riders taking two back to back rides then not helped with 2min exclusions

I really can not understand why BSI would consider taking the WTC race off and final to Prague there would be such bad crowds on a poor track as shown with GPs staged there. They must be getting one big massive cash payout from Czech tourism board to cover the money they could lose on it. I think the fairest thing to do is stage it in the UK next year as I'm confident they would get big crowd for final and the race off if GB was in it

Looks like Nicholls is using his Swedish/Polish bikes which do not anywhere near as fast as his UK equipment

With regards to Bornagainlion post I have heard possibly one of the 3 mentioned riders maybe leaving soon with another that would like to go but needs another club to go to. As I have stated previously I expect two team changes to happen soon all of course decided by averages and rider availability

It was the riders that got Glyn removed from his post last season as they were not happy with the track prepared for them. Have spoken to somebody quite close to Jason who has said he is gutted with not being involved in the club any longer

I think again Mr Hemsley has made a big mistake by falling out with Jason as he was an excellent motivational guy to have in pits and to get the best out of the riders he also had a number of good connections with clubs. Where as I hear many clubs see Hemsley as only interested in himself and his opinion. It will be interesting to see who the team changes are and also the replacements are as this seems to be the main reason for the change in team manager.

I think even Lasse himself and his dad Ivan will admit they are not having the season he should be having in his career development . He has kit moved on at all and possibly even gone back a little has the talent but not working for him at home or away. The club have had a few issues with him this season and upset few officials and staff but they have warned him and dealt with the issues.

I have been told that there will be 1 possibly two team changes in the near future. Jason was not happy with these changes as are some of the other riders so Jason said that he will leave if he is undermined as team manager as feels the replacements are not the correct riders for the club. Expect to see a Dane riding down the M69 back at Leicester soon even though at the end of last season saying he didn't like the track and didn't want to return in 2012. I also understand that Bjerre is on his last warning having upset a number of staff and officials at the club along with continued bad results and then missing the meeting at Edinburgh Friday the club are not happy but will need an able replacement

As previously posted it is now officially confirmed that we will be showing the New Zealand GP live at 4am and at present it is planned to be in HD as well i just hope that lots of Speedway fans can get up and watch it live to justify the large expense of doing it live as would have been a lot cheaper to do a time delayed broadcast. Thank you to Mr Rising for clarifying Brandos role he is a huge integral part of Skys UK coverage and BSI on Gp scene without him to programmes would not flow as well as they do he is very good at his job but so good to see he always puts speedway first often turning down more lucrative work on football,darts and rugby to do speedway coverage a true pro

Has Fishers signing been confirmed and approved by bspa ? As i had heard that because didn't ride in premier league last year and because of average could not drop down and was this rule that stopped Simon Stead and another rider dropping down

I have heard that Lasse Bjerre is on his way to Leicester all should be confirmed later this week It fits with Leicesters club talk of surprising exciting new signing for them

Nick Morris is currently staying back in the UK for personal reasons but may be returning before Christmas once he had sorted some thingss out over here.

Heard strange report today that if Pepe does pull out of 2012 series that BSI are considering offering a 2nd British rider a wild card spot with two names mentioned to both whom have never had brilliant Polish careers and possibly already not with clubs. I personally can't see it but would be very interesting and cause some debate just like Horton at Coventry

WieJa you may be right if he can convince BSI that he will be properly organised and be fully available to appear in all rounds both of the Lagutas did a lot of damage by missing Cardiff and Kings Lynn then their nephew Tarasenko missing Poole U21 meeting I have also heard that a major Russian sports channel is interested in taking all GPs and Wtc in 2012 which could help his cause My personal views is it will be Bomber,N Pederson,Lindgren and Ward

Can I please urge anybody who is thinking about recording the GP on Sky to do it from the live red button feed tonight and not from the replays on Sun so that the powers at be can further see why Speedway should not be pushed to the red button
