  1. Pretty much what has been discussed openly on here by various posters Belle Vue - Will have their usual side with couple of riders that need to up their game to be title contenders Leicester- Will have a a real strength in depth feel to them with hopefully strong Rising star( Northampton pending ) will need all the team to be on it to be in with a chance in play offs Kings Lynn- Finally have their No1 and have built a strong team which could be title challengers but have weakest reserves but one could be a future British or world champion given time Ipswich- All change from title winning team with just a couple staying with a familiar face or two returning but will have a great new No1 won’t can master the track may push him on further in the GPs Sheffield- New part owner a very successful businessman but is well known in Speedway especially at Sheffield with strong family connections to the sport . Team wise they will be strong just trying to sort their top end at the moment but will be clear once a rider or two make up their mind about riding in UK. Again expect a couple of familiar faces to return to the Tigers
  2. Dan will not be a Ipswich and Cooper will be in another part of East Anglia
  3. Not sure it will affect many of the Big Stars of the Premiership last year Fricke- Already has a house and is currently living in Andorra (Tax reasons ) Jack Holder - Looking to relocate to Poland Jason Doyle- Already has British citizenship Brady Kurtz- Is a more complicated one as owns house in Warrington and partner with good job in UK Ryan Douglas- Already committed to UK regardless of league format Chris Holder- Is I process of getting British citizenship already which should have by start of season
  4. TNT have not gone broke but are in transition they will likely end up being online only as DMax like the rest of Europe. The Sky sports announcement this evening was meant to be in the morning but as usual UK newspapers couldn’t wait to break the news . As others have said it may be worth Future Speedway ventures going back to TNT to see if they are interested in broadcasting Speedway if the sport part funded the production costs . The CL announcement is a shock we were confident at Sky that we had the lower European competitions which actually features more UK clubs than the CL. However it was thought that TNT would retain the CL as there offer was a substantial increase on the last deal but Paramount have gone even higher
  5. The Paramount deal has come as a great surprise to Everyone in the broadcast industry. WBD were already planning an exit from UK satellite broadcasting and move just to Dmax online but with no CL subscribers will be lost and need to review pricing. i wouldn’t be surprised if there is some commercial bulk deal for Paramount CBS Sport to be included in Sky Sports subscription as realistically cannot see consumers paying for Sky Sports Paramount Netflix Disney + Prime Discovery/Dmax You would be looking at £200 a month which is out of reach for most people
  6. More likely they would be the club owners than Team Sponsors but could do both as very successful business men who are expanding into new markets like offering deluxe yacht charters out of Marbella, Purchasing an aircraft for hire
  7. It’s not so much the pay that Leicester offered that Ipswich couldn’t match, It was a lucrative sponsorship deal that would allow Dan to invest in equipment and to hopefully progress his career further on the continent however it was only available if he rode for Leicester as company wanted to be able to watch him regularly at home
  8. The Max Fricke information is solely based upon average rather than costs. Unfortunately with Luke Becker getting injured in 2025 Max had to take his RR ride in heat 8 which he won nearly every race which has meant his average his increased more than expected combined with him also having his best ever season in the UK it has made it difficult to try build a team that is strong throughout if a 39-40 limit had been agreed then there would be no issues
  9. Northampton Saints with Travis Perkins as Team sponsor to tie in with Rugby union team was the latest that I had heard.I believe there is some people who are involved in both sports that are part of this new venture. Them work progressing through the summer to move to Northampton later in year or 2027
  10. I would be surprised if DAZN were to take on British Speedway as like Premier sports their business model is to take other broadcasters coverage and then broadcast it in the UK. The only current exception to this is Boxing coverage which is produced on house but again has a long list of broadcasters taking their feed
  11. Maybe even across Borders and No Max is not expensive he is fair in his requests for a GP rider who gives a lot to the team and is a great guy
  12. The best option that I think most would agree with would be let the BSN crew produce the live coverage but use TNT broadcast infrastructure and their OB providers. People seem to forget that what TNT did and what BSN did were on totally different levels with Millions of pounds of equipment used for TNT matches where as BSN used lesser equipment and broadcast an internet stream which really showed with Leicester and Ipswich being a great example BSN really struggled with the lighting when it’s dark making it look dull and hard to make out the riders where as TNT made it ok as they had the equipment to do it.
  13. Not sure but Drew himself believes he is affected by this change so if not he will be very happy guy
  14. If it was up to me 100% British Premiership Speedway would be back on Sky Sports unfortunately it’s not my decision I am however having words in the correct ears . There may be some interest if the right deal was available and if a decent league sponsor could be found to support with the production costs as Speedway was not planned into 2026 plans . I am a great advocate of BSN however it’s very much a niche closed product so can foresee some potential issues with sponsorship for clubs
  15. Latest averages have Drew Kemp at 8.12 changing to 8.08 at end of the season
  16. Question is with TNT currently not interested in negotiating a deal for British Speedway Premiership if the only available option is the closed network of BSN will sponsors be happy with this lower level of general exposure and also will fans be happy to pay an additional £350 a year to watch Premiership Speedway ? I know clubs that have streamed meetings this year have had less than 100 viewers on a PAYG model which is not cost effective
  17. New Championship rule for 2026 which will mean the following riders will not being able to remain with their current championship clubs Dan Thompson Drew Kemp Danny King Nicolai Klindt Peter Kildemand Rule being brought in to assist the amount of young riders development e.g Cairns ,Rushen, Trigger,Bailey, Ace P , Hodder, Perry etc so basically are cutting out 2nd Heatleaders so youngsters will have at least ones less experienced rider in their races per meeting
  18. I understand a similar situation happened with Ashton in Motorcross spent hundreds of thousands then a few things didn’t go his or dads way they then moved onto Speedway now it appears same has happened again
  19. That is due to the current deal between TNT ( That was given to them as part of the Eurosport closure ) and British speedway expiring at the end of this month. TNT I understand are keen to return if there is a Premiership/ Superleague but Speedway future ventures will be putting it out to Tender let’s hope that DAZN don’t get it though .
  20. If reports are correct it’s unlikely that you will see Nigel and Lawrence working together again as the closure of Birmingham has not gone that well with one person not being honest with their plans for their own personal benefit
  21. They have deep pockets, various very successful businesses all self made and a long term association and previous investment in Speedway . My understanding is that they will have an experienced person joining them initially to guide them through first few months but as mentioned before the League format needs to be right for their business plan of watching top class racing at Sheffield
  22. No more East Midlands if he is to be involved and Sheffield new owners will be successful local business operators with close links to Sheffield Speedway and the sport in general. Both of these does depend on the league format being agreed upon that makes it worth it for both parties
  23. Ipswich Leicester Belle Vue Sheffield Kings Lynn Poole with special agreement to be able to run Wednesday nights Thats would be my feeling of a Premiership next season
  24. TNT production costs significantly higher than BSN maybe as much 10 times as much for play offs with additional cameras being used Not been in Leicestershire today but know when I left at 8pm last night it was very heavy rain with roads flooded
