  1. So it's irrelvant MP is still in the team facing our local rivals over both legs of the KO Cup Quarter Final when the aggregate score could be very close? 🙄
  2. Whilst we filled our boots tonight, the reverse could happen at Worky. Leon Flint who is going through a purple patch, replacing Zischke, imo strenghthens the Comets considerably. Remember the scores when we last met Worky in the 2018 KoC semi:- Edinburgh Monarchs 59 Workington Comets 31 Workington Comets 61 Edinburgh Monarchs 29 No time to be complacent, with North Side being a new track to both Swedes & also a raw number seven who is unlikely to beat any Championship reserve, barring non finishers.
  3. Given our Friday race days and the known availability problems of Polish riders already contracted to their homeland clubs at weekends, not a surprise that the Polis signing backfired. Next week's KO Cup matches against Worky could determine whether Monarchs miserable run of results continues the downward spiral. Therefore let's hope there's positive moves to replace the deserting Polis before Friday.
  4. Max Perry is not new, but if you had checked his starting GSA for 2025 it is 2.00. Thought you would have been aware of this when Poole ditched him in 2024 when his GSA was 2.00 Still we must make allowances for you being unable to comprehend this🫢
  5. Assume the Promotion were aware of the rules when they signed Polis? Given apart from Poole & Oxford, all other Championship tracks home nights are Friday/Saturday, the likelihood of clashes of interest for Polish riders is higher. Edinburgh are the only CL side to sign a Pole for 2025. Glasgow seem to have learned from the problem of signing European riders with Polish commitments, in the past, and wisely have opted to track seven Englishmen, with the added bonus of the 2.5% starting GSA allowance this Season. From a PR perspective, any newcomers or resident Polish fans who bought tickets because of the "Polish attraction", this might deter any interest in further visits to Armadale 😒
  6. Was that taking into account the 2.5% GSA deduction for UK riders in their team?
  7. Noticed you ignored his away average eh😁 To remind you it was 2.05 - hardly inspiring for someone who has been riding since 2013!
  8. If you have the early bird discount option, the deadline is 31st December however.
  9. Rather have James who could progress in a 2nd Season, than Coles who has been around for a long time & never made much progress.
  10. Very difficult replacing Killeen with a reserve guest of similar calibre. Choice might be restricted to Starke, Smith, Coles & Hodder.
  11. You must have missed the coming together of Kvech & Fricke entering the 1st bend, which the slow motion confirmed, & led to MF colliding with JK. Seen this happen many times & the refs normally order a re-run with all 4. Should have been all 4 r/r in ht 3 when Rew was strangely adjudged the cause of the stoppage.
  12. You have take into account the GSAs each team were replacing:- Edinburgh : Sedgmen( 8.32) with Dan Thompson(7.28), Thomson( 6.86) with Joe Thompson(5.78) Glasgow : Flint(6.82) with Barker(6.32), Garrad(2.00) with Perry(2.00) Statistically, Edinburgh appear to have lost more potential points than Glasgow, but both sides were both restricted in their guest choices because of availability, & also the 7 day rule, in the case of Edinburgh. Only other options imo for Edinburgh would have been Kerr & Vuolas for the Thompson twins & also Vuolas for Barker for Glasgow.
  13. Noticed Cookie withdrew @ Leicester tonight, apparently with a shoulder injury. If unfit for Saturday, Comets could get Josh Pickering as his GSA of 9.07 would exactly match Craig's with the +5% home meeting enhancement. Would imagine JP would be sensational round there.
  14. Sam Masters is likely to be racing in Poland for Gniezno on Saturday & will Nicholls be at the Latvian SGP also on Saturday as part of the Eurosport commentating team? Let's hope they're both available at Glasgow on Sunday🙄
  15. Already published that it's the Thompson twins for the Monarchs & Barker & Perry for the Tigs.
  16. It's Kemp for Thomson, & Batchelor for Sedgmen, & Starke @ no.7 for Pirates.
  17. Reported Kye Thomson received season ending hand injury in Sweden yesterday, so in addition to JS, will now be seeking 2 guests for Friday. Hopefully given longer notice, they will able to secure suitable replacements, having previously struggled to find suitable substitutes. Hard to envisage anything else than a comfortable win for the Pirates.
  18. If Killeen is unfit for Friday, Oxford should be looking to bring in the two riders at 6 & 7 that the Tigers booted out to accommodate Ivacic, namely Ace Pijper & Paul Starke.
  19. According to the above re Weekly Slot System, the Priority Days for PZM Liga 1 are Saturdays & Sundays. As Rybnik vs Gdansk is a Liga 1 fixture on this Friday, how does it have priority over Redcar vs Poole, given the UK fixture is not a rearranged match? The only possible reasons I can think of are either Poole have agreed to this, or Brennan had a clause in his signing on agreement with Poole that his Polish domestic fixtures would always take priority when there was a fixture clash involving Poole.
  20. Obviously you were greetin that much you missed that both Thomson & Sedgmen beat Chas last night
  21. Only other match today is Berwick vs Plymouth, so "too many Friday clubs" is not a factor/excuse.
  22. Edinburgh had the same problem last season which seemed to affect them more frequently than other clubs. I wonder if there is a specific reason for this?
  23. You should check the facts before coming out with this unsubstantiated waffle. For your enlightment read this:- RIDERS NOTICE: PLACEMENT OF TRANSPONDERS - Speedway Control Bureau. All riders are reminded that Transponders are to be used and it is the responsibility of the rider that they are charged and that they are placed on either the 'H' piece of the forks or in the pouch of the fork cover at the back of the handlebars. Transponders are used by other motorsports and are more accurate than visual observations, including Calamity Brown's defective vision, or Glasgow's overheard drone camera
