Jayne said it was due to costs. This could be travelling costs, not necessarily points money. I don't know where Richard's base is, but perhaps he worked out the fuel costs meant that Rye House was the better option for him.

The track at Buxton is smaller by about 20 yards

Like you I'll follow Rye House home and away whatever the make up of the side. I agree with you about the play off's. I remember clearly standing on the centre green after our play off final win against Sheffield in 2007, but something wasn't quite right. It didn't feel the same as it did in 2005, nowhere near. didn't help that we didn't even finish in the top 4 as Birmingham actually finished fourth, but not by the cut off date. We actually finished fifth that year!! As for Luke, he has his critics and hell be the first to admit he'll never be more than a PL second string/reserve, but you can't help admiring the way he keeps on coming back from these terrible injuries. Its a real shame he sustained these latest injuries as he was in a run of decent form

It would be a scandal if Anders is let go if we can fit him in, as it seems we can. Anyone who saw him race at Somerset on Friday would agree that he was awesome. If Len has any sense he'll make him an offer for next year before someone else does. I'd see him as a straight swop for Jordan who's never really taken to the Rye track and into the hearts of Rye House supporters

Did you take into consideration that there were quite a few Dudley supporters present?

No point in signing anyone if Nelson is due back in 3 or 4 weeks

Raiders Vdudley Sat 16th June ..after Rockets At 6pm Rye

I'm the only one, really? Take a look back in the thread. It's my opinion, so it matters. Maybe not to you, but that's not important. -
Reckon you could be right. I didn't take into account that Gjedde would be the one to make way, but it makes sense financially, especially after hearing Len's comments about poor crowd levels. Prepare for more cost cutting. We've already had the fish bar take a hit with the size and quality of the fish taking a downturn, next will be the team. Going with Frampton at number 1 will be a huge mistake and end the season prematurely for a number of supporters. Len shot himself in the foot with the Boxall/Doyle episode last year lets hope he's learned his lesson.

Another one who doesn't get it. Adams eligibility to race in the NL isn't being questioned. It's whether it's morally right, that's my argument. -

Seems like common sense. Can't understand how anyone can argue with that, unless it's their side that benefits. -

In not gonna quote all of 21CH's post, but as to his point that Adams scores haven't made any difference to the Dudley points, again a Heathens fan is missing the point. Its not an attack on Dudley Heathens speedway team. I couldnt gives toss if you win he National League, the NLKOC, the Champions League, or the Nobel Peace prize, the 3rd tier of British speedway has very little interest to me. -

I can see what you're trying to do, but you're way off. None of those have or are setting the NL alight, so your barking up the wrong tree there. Nice try though. All of the riders you mention aren't good enough to hold down a regular PL place, so have no other choice than to race in the NL. James Cockle is good for a bit of a laugh. We've had many a fun afternoon and evening playing the Cockle-o-meter game at Rye House! -

There's a world of difference between someone who's just starting out and someone who's been knocking around the leagues for 9 years. Someone who's been around for that long with all that experience and all that track time should be embarrassed for stealing kids pocket money. -

He's getting plenty of time in the saddle, 6 rides guesting for Wolves (paid 11 from 5 completed races) this week being the latest. Adam seems like a nice fella and obviously has talent, but does he really need to be stealing kids pocket money in the NL? I'm neither anti Roynon (PL winner with the Rockets in 2007, how could I be?), or anti Dudley (good to see the Heathens back). It's just a point of principal. -

Even more baffling why you should call Garrity an Elite League flop. -

As if Len Silver is gonna take my advice Don't understand your point about Jason Garrity, that's a bit odd... I'm not sure what you expected from a youngster in his first year in the Premier League Have you checked out Adam Roynons current PL average?... His EL average ain't too shabby either! -

Note the word regularly I'm not complaining, just don't think it's right. As I've intimated in previous posts I'm not overly concerned about the National League. I'd only take it seriously if Rye House were a stand alone club. -

The rules also allow a rider regularly riding and winning races in the Elite League to race in the NL -

So pleased I changed my plans to stay down here where I watched a terrific speedway meeting at Rye House, the best for some time. Very pleased that Betwick got the meeting finished, not in ideal conditions, but they can't be blamed for that. Perhaps a British semi next year, or a world u21 to see the place in its best light? -

I was at Rye House for a World U21 semi final around 4 years ago, I think it was Emli Sayfutdinov's first appearance over here... It was raining steadily for most of the morning, the track was a mess, wet and greasy. There is no way there would've been a regular meeting on it, but somehow they allowed the meeting to start bang on 2pm. Conditions were awful and the early heats were follow my leader, riders getting filled in and left half blinded by wet shale. Then it stopped raining and the racing slowly improved. Thats when Emli took over! If the track is rideable the meeting will do ahead, although it may not be raceable! -

I remember seeing quite a few Heathens jackets at a Rye House meeting last year... Unfortunately I never had the chance to visit Dudley Wood. Well, I had the chance, but I only attended Premier League meetings in those days. -

Rather call it off than have the farce we had at the previous meeting with Somerset. I shouldn't think the Dudley fans would be happy sitting through a PL match only to have theirs called off. I should think there will be quite a few of them as I'm told they are the best supported club in the NL. -

Workington don't have a home meeting, but are away at Glasgow on Sunday... Admission is indeed the same as a regular PL meeting with an additional £1 on the programme price... My guess is that it'll be rained off anyway -
Could be the way to go... He'd learn more racing against stronger opposition in Germany rather than the lower standard of the National League.
